Nier & Drakengard Thread

Zero is the protag in DG3. One, Two, Three, Four, and Five are her sisters, spawned from a flower that grew in her eye. The flower brought her back to life when she died from a disease. Because she wanted to die, she tried stabbing the flower in her eye. Because of her suicide attempt, the flower created her 5 sisters.

If it sounds convoluted, that’s because it is. The Drakengard games were not as well written as Nier.

Well this at least answers my question about whether or not the series continued being batshit bonkers...

But can you sculpt the Watchers?

Bah, no Watchers can stop my free spirit!

For those who didn't watch the Weird Video Games episode, Tom gets to the poem quoted above and says that at the point about "sculting" the Watchers its gone so overboard its become almost a self-parody. Later in the video he sees a bit where somebody says the Watchers are all dead, and remarks "And now you can sculpt them!"

I've seen that the OST for Drakengard 1, and 3 have been released on Steam recently. Is there any chance that we get a Drakengard 1, and 3 Steam version?
 
If they add drakengard 1 and 3 to steam, i will throw money at the screen. They dont even have to get too fancy with it, just some graphical upgrades or just leave the game as it is(with exception of D3 since it was a stuttering mess on the ps3)

No, Drakengard 1 needs a full gameplay overhaul. It's one of those games where everything is great except for the gameplay, you know, where it matters most.

It's probably better to leave Drakengard 1 with its shitty repetitive Dynasty Warriors clone gameplay than remaking it to be the same boring ass cookie cutter action RPGs 99% of modern games are.

and Kaine may, or may not, be a Reincarnation of Zero, and Kaine may, or may not be the template for A2, though likely the answer is yes to both.

I AM CAIM getting an actual character instead of just being a murderhobo that wants to fuck a dragon and.......
although tbh i enjoy yoko being so butthurt he made a sequel where dragons kill and rape every single character in 2 and threw it into some obscure random book stuck in autistic moonrunes
