Him dying Christmas Day is poetic justice. It makes for a good holiday alternative to Christmas if you can't celebrate it. But, if you do, you may as well celebrate it together!

Updated the thread to incorporate some suggestions.
A few additional videos or documentary clips could be added for emphasis but otherwise a damn good summation.
Added some documentary clips to the revolution section, both capturing the fighting in Bucharest and the final moments of Ceaușescu

Fun fact: He was a pretty big hunter. He holds the record for the largest number of bears hunted by a single hunter at something like 3k brown bears. He pretty much made hunting illegal (at least when it came to larger game) except for himself and close allies and accomplices. Plenty of other commie leaders came to Romania to hunt by his invitation.

Edit: His rifle recently got a feature by Gun Jesus and he speaks about the hunting and stuff
Also added a blurb on his hunting habits to the tenure section.

His execution vid was really cool - not the firing itself but the aftermath, how soldiers checked for signs of life after the shots, the burial, etc. I like watching stuff like that!

Oh Nicolae Ceausescu. He was too weak even her wife Helena was more leader than him, giving orders like a Simp impressing a E-thot. Nice Thread
Why not and while we're at it, let's get threads about Mugabe, Daniel Ortega, Chavez and his buddy Maduro, Che Guevara, Fidel and his brother Raul Castro.
Hispanic Kiwi Farms has a Thread about those hispanic leaders
Francisco Macias Nguema is another big contender. He said that Hitler's main objective was to end colonialism and that the holocaust "was just him getting confused", His campaign strategy was basically pointing at mansions and asking if the people of Equatorial Guinea wanted them, he used to eat marijuana leaves and drop acid, and he brought all of his political opponents to the country's main stadium and had his guards dress up in Santa costumes and gun them down while Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkins played on the loudspeakers. Count Dankula made an excellent video on him.

There's a Thread about him here summary his life. He was the most Horryfing African Dictator Lolcow. Worst than Idi Amin or Jean Bokassa

He copied it from his soviet masters- soviet leaders used hunts as informal meetings and negotiations, that's why they often ivinted foreign leader to participate.
I bet most of the time the "hunt" consistent of other people killing it and pretending the high-ups actually did it.
But in USSR hunting was legal, getting the license wasn't that hard and hunting in the less civilized wilderness like taiga was protected as the traditional way of life.

The story of communism in Romania is basically North Korea if it had the good ending instead.

I don't give a good damn about what anybody else has to say, the Romanian Garda series of rifles fuck. God bless WASR.

Some additional videos of Ceausescu's Romania from back then

Romania was a major player in arms exports during the cold war and even sometimes sold to nations that the USSR wasn't willing to sell anything. Then again, they had driven themselves into a fairly large debt back then so they didn't exactly care who they sold to as long as they had some US dollars and West German marks on hand.

This also likely explains why a lot of old Soviet hunting rifles and shotguns are actually quite good for the whole task.

And that's why I love Romania; their magnamity in arms export makes for a very friendly and amicable ex-commie nation.
