These lesbians are the same type of women who claim looks don't matter and is patriarchal, but apparently ugly men don't deserve good looking women for reasons.

There are two factions of lesbians. It can get confusing.

One faction is political lesbians and supporters of it. It's authentic 1970s radical feminism. The theory goes that all people are attracted to women as a baseline, and that you can rediscover it at some point by undoing the brainwashing of compulsory heterosexuality. Most of these are older women who saw a shift towards lesbian relationships happen in their communities in the same time frame as feminism gained popularity. They make it seem like anyone can be a lesbian if they try hard enough. If you dislike the denigration of your attention to men you're supposed to try women.


The others are born-that-wayers, who hate political lesbianism, tend to be young people. The born that way lesbians expect heterosexual and bisexual women to not complain about being denigrated all the time in feminist activist circles. They also have a huge problem with interrogating each other for the crime of fake lesbianism or even support of political lesbianism. The dirt from dirt is one of those, to a truly deranged degree, she cranks out countless blog posts about the evils of fake lesbians.

The complicated part is that a lot of women who come out later in life don't describe themselves as having always been lesbians, they stopped being attracted to men and became attracted to women, lots of times after having been married and raising kids with a man. I don't think they are mistaken about who they were attracted to. the other thing that complicates the argument is how many women try to be gay and ultimately dislike it. No one is really "right" about if you must be born that way because it appears to work that way for some women but not others. Born that way definitely seems to describe male sexuality.

How else do you explain the creepy concept of someone being turned on by discussing gender politics?

And when the fuck were lesbians oppressed? I've heard stories from my 90+ year old grandmother about women who everyone realized were lesbians (or at least asexual cat lady life partners since lesbianism is mostly made up) living together. People knew the subtext, it was just don't ask don't tell.

If you mean lesbians were oppressed during a long lost time when they needed to shut the fuck up and have kids because they needed more people, then yeah, maybe. I guess men needing to do what's best for everyone by going out and getting their heads blown off doesn't compare to the oppression of poor uwu princesses who didn't get to be with their sisters out of TRUE PURE LESBIAN LOVE! Total oppression. That had to be difficult.

No living lesbian has actually experienced anything more than vague annoyance over their sexuality, that they falsely equate to actual oppression so they can feel like martyrs.

Also, as much as it sucks to admit sometimes, men are so much stronger than women and do most of hard and dangerous jobs. They tend have better drive for success and are more willing to take their chances both individually and as part of a group. They are vital for a successful society, many ways more important than women.

Before anyone likes me as based, women are more important for continuing society. Just pregnancies alone make or brake if a society can continue and you need more women than men for that but it does go beyond that though. Women tend to do most of the early childhood care and teaching of basics that everything else is build upon. Language, walking, talking, hygiene, manners and so on. They also tend take responsibility over daily maintenance type of things like routines, cleaning, food, keeping up with social bonds and so on. That shit matters alot in the long run.

Basically men and women both bring important things in and separatism is a fool's errand at best.

It's really telling that a therapist that specializes in LGBT patients feels like they're in a situation where they are too scared to call the shots like they see them by saying the non-binary label is potentially a social contagion. This is the part I don't get - clearly the sort of feminists who want this kind of society haven't left the comfort of their own rooms, where they can sit all day chatting in their online echo chambers, because anyone else with half a brain knows that female friend groups are rife with drama and backstabbing, it isn't all slumber parties and friendly conversations over pumpkin spice latte.
