Most men, no most people I know care very little who has made the entertainment they like. They might know their name, depending on the type of entertainment their face but that's it. If you ask they can do educated guesses from the little they know but even if those guesses are wrong it doesn't matter. Reason for this is simple, they want the art and the artist is just the person who delivers that product, nothing more nothing less. They usually care to know only enough to be able to pick up more art they like but everything else is trivial information. That stuff can be fun to know, sometimes explaining something that has bothered them, but ultimately not needed.
