I didn't watch the movie. I didn't watch the first review. But I'm watching a review of a review,

'I'm the dude, watching a dude, reviewing another dude, that watched the movie.'

So that guy who did the “they’re hot” review of Cuties?

might need to keep an eye on him.
He has a thread on here that needs more attention.

Great, now even The Onion are buying into this “only conservatives hate Cuties” bullshit. I know it’s satire, but it’s still pretty clear what the writer’s stance on the matter is. Then again, what do you expect from an outlet owned by the same company as Kotaku and Deadspin?

Ok now that is just disgusting. Screw mainstream media outlets. Babylon Bee is a better version of the Onion btw if anyone wants to follow a similar account.

You can't expect anything else from a company that is owned by a company that also owns the likes of Kotaku, deadspin, Gizmodo, etc.

Jokes bad. Child molestation good.

I haven't seen Cuties and don't want to. At first I thought it was based on those tiny little toys that were the girl version of M.U.S.C.L.E.
Then I found out it was about little girls twerking and how empowering it was supposed to be. It's fap fuel for pedos and encourages them because it is mainstream entertainment.

You know, I already argued that The Left took great steps to shoot itself in the foot and basically give the Right ownership of Freedom of Speech, which led to things like Brexit and Donald Trump getting elected.

Now they are working overtime to make sure the Right takes sole ownership of protecting children from over sexualization. Go ahead morons. Play that card.

I thought it sounded familiar but couldn't place the name other than those oranges

One of the top reviews on Letterboxd which is a bit like IMDB but with a modern interface and more exceptional individuals from Twitter and Tumblr https://letterboxd.com/kevinyang/film/cuties-2020/1/ (can’t archive RN)

Only loser white dudes who hate black women (hardly) dislike this. Go home haters

Two things I 'love' about this article.

1) the only reason people (white people, of course) hate this movie is because the director is a black woman. Would love to link this person to various reviews I've seen that were done by black people (men and women ) who also found the movie deplorable. Would be interesting to see how they would dismiss their respective PoVs (no doubt it would probably involve the patriarchy, or some BS like that).

2) They claim to have watched the movie; but give no insight on what the movie is about - just repeated the rhetoric the director gave (namely - it it was based on her life experience). Just 'I saw the movie!' and continues throwing shade at the 'bigoted/sexist masses' while simultaneously kissing the director's butt cheeks.

Also - since when was this movie based around the director's own experiences? She initially said she was inspired to make this movie after a chance encounter she had with a child dance troupe performing for an adult audience. Does interviewing kids/researching count as life experience, now?

This movie is supposed to be a "criticism" of Islamic conservatism. If this is what being "progressive" is, then fuck it, I'm joining the Taliban.

Also, interesting how very few commentators are pointing out that the director is...*ahem*...half-Israeli.
Not that I don't believe you, but source?
