Hopefully you put it ironically since that's mega gay. Legit reddit retardation of "why can't Naruto be antifa", as if the fact the different villages waging a cold war between them has no bearing on it.

If anything that big retarded post shows how western media has devolved to a literal one acceptable story that is entirely based on modern politics. Going through it point by point will waste me more minutes than the author has braincells.

Though I think my favourite point was Natuto being too busy as an adult, which is almost certainly written by some neckbeard who complains he is too tired and depressed to find work.

Naruto's morals never really made much sense to me. The whole "Revenge is bad because it'll lead to a cycle of hatred" thing. No wonder Sasuke went with Orochimaru in the first place. His entire clan got slaughtered by his own brother who then forced him to relive that several times, and then Kakashi is here going "Dude you should just let him get away with it because revenge is le bad or something." And then later he finds out that the elders of the village he grew up in was the one who forced his brother to do all that stuff. Again they try to portray him as being in the wrong for wanting to enact revenge on the village after that. Maybe he did take it too far at times, but for the most part his reasons were fairly justifiable. Naruto decided to spare Nagato because "he's the chosen one who will bring world piss and doesn't want to continue the cycle of hatred" or something gay like that. But imagine Nagato didn't change his heart and decide to revive everyone after being TNJ'd. What would've prevented him from recovering and then destroying the leaf to a much greater degree? They should've just stuck to "Underdog proves everyone wrong" plot of part 1, as cliche as it may be.

You mustn't forget that Naruto, like many other Shōnen mangas, are comics primarily aimed at children and teenagers.

Whenever you find something dumb about these mangas, like you have with your analysis of the moral of Naruto's story, this is important to remember. As an adult, it's a little grating to admit, but it is what it is.
Things aimed for youngsters can be fun for geezers as well, provided you're ready to accept the childish flaws of the works in question.

Does anyone else think the way Kakuzu was taken out was pretty lame? Like they really nerfed him there. He was portrayed as a genuinely tough opponent, with him apparently having gone toe to toe with Hashirama once, and even giving Kakashi a run for his money. And then Naruto shows up, does his typical "SIKE! It was a shadow clone!" and then hits him with that mini hand nuke that takes out both of his hearts. Talk about a lame end to a cool villain.

To be honest, the entirety of this fight was fucking retarded. Everything had to be just right for Nardo to land a hit, and that's even with how Kakwhatever his name is kept everyone on the ropes.

It's also typical anime, "this guy has God tier control over the atomic building blocks of the universe", hype, but the guy later dies from the equivalent of a slingshot.

The fight was obviously rushed. Kishi or his editors got bored with the Immortals arc and wanted to get to Sasuke Shippuden faster, so they skipped to the part where Naruto beats him. Sucks, because Kakuzu's a good villain with a great powerset, and Hidan's a great villain with a powerset that went completely unfleshed out and just left him as "some voodoo priest with a scythe who can't die even when gibbed and whose opponents are too stupid to combat a drawn circle in the ground".

We've at least got UNS2 for a proper Naruto vs Kakuzu depiction.

Can we all just agree that Naruto was just a retarded wish fulfillment for pathetic losers?
No, because the new chapter of Boruto drops soon and I'm sure they'll fuck up everything in a new and brilliantly retarded way. Every single chapter of this trash is bad enough to make eyes bleed and I'm on a neverending, self-depricating quest to share it with all of you. Perhaps someday in the years to come, some unfortunate Farmer will discover this thread and learn of how Masashi Kishimoto went from a world famous legendary mangaka to an autistic retard hellbent on destroying his own career and all the goodwill we ever gave him. He really is a Japanese Frank Miller and I won't rest until he publishes his slant-eyed version of Holy Terror. I hope you appreciate the sacrifice of my sanity.

godspeed little autist. you need it.

There are two things that make me not want to ever re-read this series again besides being an adult and having a life.

During part 1 there is this idea that all the clans with their pros and cons are essentially on par with one another and that it takes an incredibly powerful ninja to bring them all in line. And it makes you wonder about the other nations and all their various clans. I mean in part 1 the most dangerous rookie is definitely Shino, he is cold and calculated and his whole insect thing seems incredibly dangerous. But you realise later on that actually every clan and other nation is completely useless except for the Senju and Uchiha because their lineage goes back to literally God.

The other is something I thought was going to be really cool but ended up being really stupid. At the start of Part 2 during the Gaara Retrieval Team Guy breaks these seals and the seals create copies of themselves which attack them. I thought this was a cool idea and what would happen is they would have to trade off opponents because they can't beat themselves so you could have a Lee vs Neji fight, a Neji vs Ten Ten fight, and a Ten Ten vs Lee fight all culminating in the three students having to defeat their cloned master as a sort of passing of the torch moment.

What actually happened was in the manga they beat them off panel and in the show it is a slow and drawn out fight where their conclusion is they just have to be stronger versions of themselves than when the clones are created and then they just win. Its so stupid and so long and so gay. I can't believe how annoyed it still makes me to this day.

Sorry about the wall of text but this thread reminded me why I'm glad I don't watch or read any manga or anime shit anymore.

Oh happy day. New chapter dropped. More terrible-ness to go along with it. Let's get right in.

Boruto TBV Ch. 9

Himawari and Shikadai's team are confronted by Jura, the main Divine Tree guy, and Evil Sasuke. They're confused because they were following Naruto's trail and somehow found Nine Tails chakra in Himawari. They decide to let Shikadai and co. go if they hand her over so they can devour her and understand what's going on. I don't know why they really need to devour her to do this but oh well. They fight briefly before Shikadai calls daddy. Honestly this exchange goes on for like 5-10 pages and not much happens. It's pretty boring and kinda wasted. Kawaki wakes up after getting bitch slapped by Jura last chapter.

We cut to Kashin Koji who somehow knows Konoha is under attack. I guess he has a bunch of toads there that somehow nobody noticed? Either way, he tells Boruto to go and Boruto teleports off. I really don't know how he's coming and going so far, so quickly when his flying raijin "isn't all that good" but whatever. A toad in Shikamaru's office tells him that Boruto is on the way. Seriously how does nobody notice this? Anyway, Kawaki is told by Delta that Himawari is in trouble and is under attack. Instead of going to help his sister though, he immediately senses Boruto and says "Nah, fuck her. She got this." And chases after him. What a dick. He confronts Boruto and seems to think the Divine Trees are with Boruto for some reason. Kawaki acts bizarre in this scene. Boruto offers to go together to save Himawari, but Kawaki isn't interested.

They have what I can only describe as a pretty awkwardly drawn fight scene. A lot of fight scenes are awkwardly drawn, but this is the first one I can't tell what's going on. He fires these rods at Boruto from behind. I think he dodges them, but it's hard to tell. The next panel is from overhead and you should see the rods still, but instead they're not there. Boruto didn't do anything to them and I don't think Kawaki used Sukuna Hikona. He doesn't appear to. He flings more, and I think he dodges them again, and as they would be normally heading in Kawaki's direction, they just kind of disappear between panels like they never existed. It's a very odd fight scene when you to try to follow it. Kawaki charges Boruto and...FOR THE 7TH OUT OF 9 CHAPTERS, WHICH IS EVERY CHAPTER HE'S APPEARED IN, KAWAKI GETS BITCH SLAPPED AGAIN. Boruto just punches him to the ground and mocks him for being so pathetically weak. It's honestly pretty humiliating how pathetic he is. His karma activates and Boruto's starts going out of control so he flees off to go help Himawari.

The rest of the chapter is Shikadai and his time trying to protect Himawari. They decide to flee, and as they're fleeing, Himawari says she's going to try to escape on her own to not drag them into this any further since they're only after her. Before she can do anything though, she's dragged into the Tailed Beast room where a reborn Lil Kurama asks her if she knows who he is and the chapter ends.

Honest this whole thing is such a nothing chapter. This had no reason to be 40 pages long and you could've easily sped up the pace and done this is in 20. I will say one thing, and that's according to the lore, Tailed Beasts revive OUTSIDE in the world, not reincarnated within someone else. But hell, who's paying attention to lore anymore?

In terms of bad art, there isn't much aside from the above mentioned fight. This was a bit of a break for Ikemoto as most of the chapter is dialogue and bottle showing. Just some things I find odd though, Cho-Cho's post time skip design doesn't really suit her well when action scenes start. A girl that fat moving around and being active, yet stiff is pretty unsightly. In another quick panel, Sarada is still ninja-running in heels which will never not be funny. Another thing I'd like to mention is Kawaki's hair. It's very dynamic and constantly changes. I don't think there's a static model but I guess Ikemoto/Kishimoto just like drawing it because there's so many variations of it. Not a nitpick or anything, just something I noticed. We'll end on a good note. Lil Kurama is impossible to not be adorable.

What business did Naruto have being there anyways? If I recall correctly, the whole point of the mission was for team Asuma to avenge their master. Naruto's entrance felt out of nowhere and the only justification being that he's the main character. It would be like if Shikamaru dropped in near the end of Naruto vs Pain and then took out the Yahiko body all by himself.

to show off his NEW AMAZING TECHNIQUE! which is just Resengan but bigger. i also liked how that new Resengan did damage to Naruto body and was told not to use it much, and its never brought up again.

I've always disliked how The Immortal Akatsuki arc ended. If my profile wasn't a dead giveaway already Hidan was my fav character from the show. I read somewhere that the HIdan/Kakuzu fight was supposed to be bigger, and incorporate more people / teams from the hidden leaf village, but Kishimoto had to go into the Hospital and had his assistants finish of the rest of the arc, which was rushed because Shonen Jump said, " get back to showing the spotlight on the Emo fuck". That was the last arc I genuinely liked despite it shit ending.

He's a great character, but in retrospect he's so underdeveloped. It's not even the Jashin thing, it's how he only has one jutsu and it's one that requires everyone around him to be totally braindead for it to work. It also sucks that we never got to see that "transforming weapon" gimmick that his scythe was supposed to become. Compare that with all the shit we get to see from Sasori, Kakuzu, Deidara and even Kisame.

I wouldn't hate it as much if Sasuke Gaiden didn't suck so fucking hard. Jugo, Suigetsu, and Karin are probably the most useless characters in the series. It doesn't help that Sasuke takes out Orochimaru like a bitch immediately at the start. I'm not opposed to Orochimaru dying. Or even Orochimaru dying quickly, but I am opposed to it being done so quickly there isn't a fight. Then what? An annoying filler arc in the manga and anime of Sasuke getting his cronies to find Itachi, and he finds Itachi in five minutes anyway. They don't even get a chance to help him at all. Sasuke Gaiden gets better after this but it's such a slow start and the anime only makes it worse.

I tend to call the arc "Sasuke Shippuden". "Gaiden" makes it sound like a sidestory when Sasuke's causing big ripples in the story by killing off Orochimaru, Deidara and Itachi and joining up with the Akatsuki. Won't argue the execution isn't double-plus stupid, though. Getting rid of your best villain by having Sasuke go "no U", bringing in obnoxious comic relief characters that make older stories worse and act as detriment in later ones, the Great Snake Escape (honestly Deidara probably should've bought it fighting Naruto and Kakashi and saved us the trouble of suffering through that awful chase scene in Gaara Rescue), and everything to do with Itachi's face-turn.

I don't mind Itachi's face turn because it leads to better moments in the story. I do mind that it isn't hinted, AT ALL.

The I'll Always Love You scene. It was good. What can I say? I'm sucker. I also really like how when the Kabuto fight starts, the anime plays Sasuke's post-credit theme song for the first time as an in-episode song. It's a good ending for "Sasuke Shippuden" since the Kabuto fight is his last big arc until he revives the Kage.

On another kudos, the panel when Sasuke makes his decision to join the war in the manga is really cool. He's contemplating what to do and behind him is a spread of all of his moments throughout the series. The manga doesn't do memberberries too often but that was a cool spread.
