I always thought there should be some discrimination against people whose quirks are extremely disfiguring to the point that they barely even look human. Professional hero’s are pretty much celebrities, I can easily see heroes with “ugly” quirks getting passed over by agencies in favor of someone who might be slightly less qualified, but presents a much better face. I just wanna see quirkcels god damn it!
Well I'm pretty sure the manga addresses this stuff later on and is actually important for a somewhat major character.

Also holy shit it seems a timeskip is upcoming based on the last chapter of the manga.

Also in the universe MHA is set in, something like 85-90% of the population have a quirk, so there's really very little conflict between those who have it and those who don't. Its so far as if you're born without a quirk you're basically a weirdo, so it'd be a reverse X-Men situation.
One thing people seem to miss in the "quirk vs quirkless" dichotomy is that the overwhelming majority of people in-universe have very weak, non-combat oriented quirks. The kids at UA and the pro-heroes we've seen are something like the top 1 percentile, for every Todoroki out there there's hundreds of guys with a similar quirk who can barely light a match (case in point, his own siblings).

Being quirkless would probably be a non-issue for anyone who isn't as much of a superhero otaku like Deku, since you need a hero license to use your quirk in public to begin with.

The more obvious conflict would be restrictions on heroes ala Watchmen, as you've got beings with the most powerful mutations almost acting outside of government, but still, its not something I'd want to see in the setting.
Without going too deep into manga spoilers, that's exactly the direction the series is taking now.

The fuck is this about? When did this happen?
Unfortunately, there's no good clip of it on the Internet, the best I can get is this recorded-from-the-TV version on YouTube but it was in the subbed version too. It was a bit surreal seeing it in theaters because up to this point, no IRL brands (or even obvious parodies) had ever occurred in MHA.

We're getting a Tsuyu Nendoroid!

Heard the recent news where the author was into some deep shit.

In context, he named a villain "Maruta" which refers to the Chinese and Korean victims of human experimentation by the Imperial Japanese.

Of course, China flipped their shit and had the series removed immediately. Korea is not pleased with it either and demands the author to apologize.
He apologises later after that and decides to change the name, but they are still not pleased (based on the comment section in Horikoshi's tweet).

Just a thought about probably the most useless Class 1-A power:

Why doesn’t the animal talking nigga get into breeding insects or something? The main drawback of his ability is that it depends on there being useful animals in the area for him to command, but this has a super simple fucking solution: just strap fucking insect hives to his costume. Wasps and mosquitos can seriously harass any non-armored opponents and affect their ability to effectively fight, and there’s some stinging insects that could SERIOUSLY incapacitate opponents and allow them to be easily captured as they writhe in pain on the ground. Even armored opponents can be countered with fleas that can wriggle through their armor and cause severe itching, or small beetles that can crawl through the cracks and just make them incredibly uncomfortable - really the only people who would be 99% immune are those with hardened skin that are entirely resistant to insect bites.

This one change to the application of his abilities turns him from situational at best to a solid support against both single and groups of opponents with the potential to completely incapacitate groups from a distance without them ever seeing him.

La Brava and Gentle Criminal are the peak kino of this series and they better be done well in the anime.

He does have that massive fear of insects. Yeah, he kinda felt with it during the exam, but not enough to walk around with hives strapped to him, I’d imagine.
