22 and 600 pounds already? Is this a new record, boys?

Also, mom's name is Cricket? I think I've only ever heard that name, or nickname, once before.

It may be. There was a woman named Amber who was 23 and 657 pounds, and Chay, who was 23 and 597. Those were the closest two I could find, so DING DING DING! We have a winner. Of sorts.

The mom's name was indeed Cricket. I expected her to be a stripper, not a tour bus driver.

Derrickus turns out to be a gay black dude who is probably a drag queen. He brings her food and makes it for her. She's having four burritos and six BIG, BLACK DICK for breakfast.

man, word filter made me feel real bad for poor Derrickus there.

I guess this dumbass doesn’t have a smartphone so she could look up the diet and the email addresses?

Sorry if this has been answered in the thread already, but is there somewhere to watch this show online without having to pay?
I don't watch a lot of TV but this show is a guilty pleasure of mine (along with hoarders) and keeps me motivated ngl

so usually the day after, someone will post a crap version (to avoid the YouTube police). It’s only up for about a day or so.

tl;dr of Seana's episode: "I lost muh papers" (oh, and the email)

Surely Dr Now has a Facebook group for his patients? Maybe one of the patients scanned that info. I'm in medical groups where people have done just that with the clinic's binder info. Or she could just google de diet that people claim is his despite it including toast as a breakfast option. That's better than nothing. I know that for a lot of these patients, it's mind blowing for them to eat one less sausage for breakfast (hell, Sean more or less assumed that a large pizza was less than 800 calories a pie), but come on. Lazy, lazy. Pretty sure she only agreed to "attempt" because her mom ragged on her. She lacks the motivation to change.

Also, Cricket is clearly a shit mom because besides the abuse, if your kid is eight and weighs the equivalent of the average adult male then something is very, very wrong and you need to do something, anything, about it as the parent. Even if she was working all the time, the kid was clearly ballooning. Annjeannette may've hated her mom for forcing her into fat camp but at least her mom tried.

Knew it. This week's ep had an unlikeable contestant. I had to watch it on mute with CC because I'm at work. Even without sound I couldn't stand this chic.

This chick was the female version of Sean Milliken -- mentally stunted, chronically depressed, and completely unable to function as an adult. How appropriate that her name is Seana.

Seana was an overgrown toddler. She was one of the most insufferable contestants yet. No hope for her. Complete waste of Dr. Now's time.

Seana was so flat and empty. And low-functioning. I'm wondering if she was born exceptional, or acquired brain-damage from being beaten (or using meth). I'm usually the last person to advocate jumping into pharmaceutical interventions for mental health (and especially addiction) issues, but I kept wondering what would happen if someone gave this girl some anti-depressants. Would it improve her affect and thinking skills at all?

Dr Now was incredibly patient with her. Probably because of how utterly low-functioning she was. God knows I tried to feel sorry for her, but she was pretty frustrating and unlikable. Even her own mom didn't seem to like her. (Or her dad, apparently.) What a shitty life.

Seems our latest 650-pound lump is, like porch-shower Nicole, a juggalo who doesn't have as much trouble with technology as was implied. The real question is: are those kids hers, or the kids of the blurred out sibling who wasn't mentioned in the show?

You could swap her every selfie with Tammy Slaton. It would be days before anyone noticed. If anyone noticed at all.

See, that's the thing: If Dr. Now had a patient with a legitimate psychological/developmental condition that would impact their ability to follow a diet, I think he would genuinely be more patient with them and probably encourage more participation from family to help them out. He's a doctor, and if someone has a legitimate, diagnosed condition (that maybe isn't aired on TV) that could interfere with their ability to follow the diet plan, he'll adjust accordingly. Maybe he thought (or knew) Seana had something like that and acted accordingly; or it could be that, like he mentioned earlier in the episode, he knew Seana wasn't invested in the program and didn't want to scare her out of it by being too harsh too soon.

That's why it pisses me off on the subreddit for the show that everyone keeps trying to cut Sean Milliken slack, saying that he was "clearly" developmentally disabled and should have had "more help" from Dr. Now and his dad. There were redditors who thought his dad should have moved in with him and took care of him, or for Dr. Now to put him in an assisted care facility (like Sean wanted). There are some that thought that Dr. Now shouldn't have been as harsh with Sean because, again- "clearly" disabled.

Except that Sean was not disabled: He was spoiled and coddled by mommy for all his life and refused to grow up and show some ounce of accountability for himself. That may have affected his mental and emotional growth, but it's not something impossible for him to change. He wanted to put the responsibility in everyone else's hands instead of doing it himself. Dr. Now did exactly what he should have done: Insisted that Sean was a grown man who needed to take responsibility for himself and refusing to give into his excuses and insistence that he needed to be taken care of like a baby. Unfortunately, Sean was just the sort of person that refused to take Dr. Now's warnings seriously: This is, after all, the same guy who whined, during his first episode, that he wanted to go home, and that being sent to the hospital when he was over 800lbs was "excessive" and "not fair". (ETA: It's also important to remember that in his last episode, Dr. Now remarked that Sean had been refusing therapy for months- as in, "No, I'm not seeing a therapist." So that's another piece of help outright rejected.)

At the end of the day, there's only so much a doctor can do with an adult patient that's willfully non-compliant with a treatment regiment. At least a patient with legit developmental/mental issues can be worked with over time; there was just never any hope for Sean because he simply did not want the kind of help Dr. Now was offering.

You cannot help someone who does not want to help themselves.

The above statement, which I've heard used more in regards to addicts and alcoholics, also applies to the moirbidly overweight.

In case you may have thought I felt otherwise, Sean was an absolute disaster. He wasn't truly developmentally delayed -- he was coddled and infantalized by his mother to the point of helplessness. His ultimate goal in life was to end up in a group home where he had someone to wash him and wipe his ass while he ate his face off, and yet he'd magically lose the weight that the mean ol' doctor wanted him too. His father ran far and fast from that shitshow, and I don't blame him in the least.

Oh absolutely, I didn't think you thought otherwise. You were spot-on.

I thought Derrickus was the best part of the episode. He made it worth watching. As for Shenaynay (spelled wrong on purpose), she is a loser and not in the right way (i.e. weight).

Seems like a lot of contestants on this season are quick to get on disability because they can't stop shoving food down their gullets. I hate my job, maybe I should eat myself to disability....naw. Not worth the smelly, foulness of the whole situation.

I actually work with a woman who weighed a good 375 (she's about 5 feet tall). But in the last 6 months she has lost a lot of weight by simply dieting. Sadly, she hasn't exercised, so her legs still look like she's 375 lbs despite her upper body only being around 200 lbs. But I have to give her credit. She did it without complaining and without moving to Houston.

If you do it without complaining or moving to Houston then what's even the point?

I saw this one yesterday and as of now it's still up. Great quality. Dunno how long it will ast.

I think that Seana is a sped and Dr. Now figured this out early on. He gives her chance after chanc despite numerous fuckups and "losing" the diet plan about four times. She's extremely immature and responds to everyone like a child. I would put her mental age at tween level. She seems even less intelligent than Tammy Slaton. I think he kept helping her because he knew she was not the brightest crayon in the box and had zero support because everyone gave up on her. Even her own mom was tired of the failure.

Not sure if this is a person who should be living on her own. I think she should have chose the group home option because she needs friends and hobbies. Seana will likely isolate herself in her tugboat house and Haagen Dazs herself to death. It's all she knows. Either that or she will get another online boyfriend to knock her around and drive off with all her stuff.

I don't buy that she lost the diet plan every damn time. I think she took one look at it the first time at the hotel, realised that she actually had to put work, effort and healthy eating into play and threw it in the trash. Every copy got "lost" again and again because it conflicts with her desire to sit on her ass and collect fat cells.

I think Dr. Now is right that her mom pushed her into this. To make it worse she abandoned her by moving to Arizona because Seana didn't put in the desired effort. I actually feel bad for Seana because I think she is definitely a little slow and needs help. Plus being forced to spend summers with a dad who beats you and previously tried to kill you doesn't seem like it would make for the greatest adult life choices.

I was surprised that Seana's history of meth addiction was not brought up to the doctor or the therapist. Maybe it was and just wasn't televised. But the fact that she has a long history of addiction is something that should be looked into during her treatment for obesity. She also spent time at a psychiatric ward. She mentioned during the therapy narration that there were lots of things she did not want to talk about. She isnot going to get any better until she starts unpacking that stuff.

I don't think Seana is a bad person. Joyce and Gina are just pig disgusting by nature. Seana is a emotionally stunted sped who might do a lot better if she had real support. Hope she loses the weight.

Well, well - look who has popped up: Gina from MSHPL, the one who had to be forced to bathe. She's filing a lawsuit after DFE!

https://youtube.com/watch?v=s15Jz0wpPc4

I saw this.

Gina was disgusting. She bathed once a month and must have smelled like a garbage barge in July. I was astounded that Beth did not leave her. I would have. Girl must be insane.

When someone can barely move you tell them no and stop feeding them. People like this need to be declared incompetent so they canot use their tard bux to order food. Of course that won't help much if the payee is also an enabler.

After seeing 1000 lb Sisters I got a good idea of what kind of flourishes TLC likes to put on to spruce up the story. And maybe some of the gorges they filmed with Gina didn't make the final cut. Because I don't recall her having more than a couple sloppin' sessions if that. Most episodes feature the shower scene because TLC actually gives you a bonus for it. So could gorging scenes also net a bonus?

I don't think those scenes are that necessary because we already know how bad the sloppin' must be to get that big in the first place. If these belugas think they eat less than what is shown they are lying to themselves and everyone watching. The scenes are there because it's grossout television that keeps people from changing the channel. But if anything, TLC is underrepresenting what these people eat. We all know many of them ordered food while under supervised diets in the hospital. And many of them ended up gaining weight or losing a handful of pounds when they are supposed to be dieting. How many sauropods claim they have no idea how they gained weight because they didn't eat that much?

They're all 600 pounds of water when they run out of excuses.

They are all food addicts and even with the spins TLC likes to put on things I find it hard to believe that someone who weighs that much isnot gorging in a way similar to what we see on the show.

Gina was sent to therapy. It's her own fault if she didn't make the most of free therapy and the chance at free surgery to save her life. Just play ball Gina. You will never get a chance like this again. You were as dumb as Tammy with all of this.

Apparently Gina lost some weight on her own. But she didnot look like she lost all that much to me. Plus her social media is all gone and you have to hunt for pics on sites that aren't so lazy that they just hit the instagram link button and instead actually embed the damn pictures.

:story: The fact that they act indignant about TLC filming them eating staged huge piles of food in their first scenes. One bad day isn't why these people are the size of livestock. And they obviously are still eating gigantic piles in secret. I can believe that they chain-binge different smaller foods all day long, but that's just as bad as whole large pizza, maybe worse.
