Speaking of Steven "Van Down By the River" Assanti, it looks like he and his brother are going to be featured on an episode soon (if this site is to be believed).

I hope we get an update on how Tracey (last night's person) fared. For a while in there it was looking like the husband was going down the usual feeder route of bailing as soon as she started following the diet, but by the end seemed to be sticking it out, possibly. Good on her for losing 167 pounds on her own without needing to be admitted for a controlled diet regimen.![]()
Tracey's problem was more lymphedema and less fat. Lymphedema can happen in even the very thin. Sure, her weight and eating didn't help it but I think the show made it look more like she was in the same category as James and the others when she really isn't.
Hers was more of a medical condition exacerbated by weight than a weight problem that caused the medical issues.
The relationship with her husband was portrayed oddly though. She loves to take care of people and then suddenly hates it? I think he just had to get a job so made it look like a marital problem when it wasn't.
To me, Tracey didn't belong in this series..
I had thought James K. (episode two weeks ago and episode they are watching rt now at http://autism.ink/r/Drunk_Kiwis) was as bad as someone could get, but it appears Steve is going to prove me wrong.Yeah I'm having trouble getting into this episode because he's just so awful.
It's a two-part episode too.
I get ooged out by euthanasia but then I see some of these folks and wonder.I had thought James K. (episode two weeks ago and episode they are watching rt now at http://autism.ink/r/Drunk_Kiwis) was as bad as someone could get, but it appears Steve is going to prove me wrong.
Death is the happy ending for these cases, nothing is going to make these people into even remotely useful or decent human beings - even if the managed to lose a few tons.
