Right i am assigning levels of proper mates at something.

I was doing a job around iron bridge but I can't recall the end of the day I just know I bagged up an got a hotel room, but the first thing I did EVERY morning was call my mrs an say I love you, my heart an soul belong to you - but I have a short list of I have the cash on hand across multiple responsibility but I HAVE TO OWN THIS, and I was in a situation at an auction house where I wanted the thing I could see what it is and I WANTED IT / NEEDED IT - and I ended up paying £555 for it but I was also bidding against my brother in law who was trying to but something for me for my birthday.

But my BIL saw me getting all happy an autistic over a new tool and he regretted asking me how I explained every singe thing in great detail to him, but I have done the same with him over some footbal stuff and I've found nice things for him I know he'd like and just buy them for him - this was a situation for him that was just wild for the physical size - For me this is heaven an also something me an my BIL are bonding over because he's feeling a connection to this sort of stuff, an he's getting intrested in more than basic tools for a change .

So, I like to go out and day hike and fish along some trails that run along some of the rivers and creeks here. I'd thought I had my kit pretty well sorted between a medium sized tackle pack, a shoulder-slung rod carrier that I could pack two rods in and an Igloo Playmate cooler (which is still a classic design). That said, it's a fair bit of gear to haul around for a few miles and typically I'm only using a small number of the lures, plastics and tools I have in that bag.

Enter this little guy. It's a 20-quart bucket-shaped cooler with a locking lid, pouches and loops all around the perimeter, a couple of rod holders and a little tray that sits inside to keep stuff cold but not in the ice. Add a couple of 3500-sized tackle boxes, some basic fishing tools, a spool of leader and some other sundry items, and now all my fishing hike kit can be carried one-handed.

This.

Fancy gold drug bowl for my electronic dab vape. I wanted the larger one and they have a limited edition one in gold. So I paid extra for the gold, for no other reason than to flex on my friends with silver ones I guess. That’s pretty damn autistic I fear.

Just bought a fuck ton of blank DVD discs and cases since I now have a PC and am concerned about storage. That and making funny videos. Got some dual layers in there too, the 8.7 gb ones. It's a lot of data man.

I got this thing, its a hand crank flashlight.
My family had one of those when I was a kid (so a different model).

I'd just sit there pushing the generator lever for a long time, in the sunlight, generatin' electricity for my own amusement.

It was probably good they didn't have iPads at the time.

eta: I want to buy this telescoping banana sword, but one of the children in my life has lost toy sword privileges due to repeated poor sportsmanship.

You can get 1 TB thumb drives now. Not sure about their long-term stability though. They're probably as susceptible to bit flips from cosmic radiation as SSDs, but DVDs almost inevitably degrade unless they're archival quality.

I mean yes. But even archival are cheap. They are selling these at bargain bin prices. They can't give them away. Really it's just to have when disks inevitably get outmoded in a decade, I'll have some

They aren’t bad, just bulky. You can get triple layer BDXL discs that’ll hold 100gb or quad 120gb discs, they aren’t as cheap as DVDs but by data volume they aren’t far off.

As someone with hundreds of tb of storage I’m always looking for more 😣

But physical media of all kinds is the way 👌🏻
