He is right that regular court is gonna jail him for being unable to pay. He's unwilling too obviously, but he couldn't pay if he wanted to. In the judgement they note that whatcott doesn't have money (he has spent everything on legal defenses for criminal charges stemming from handing out anti-gay flyers at gay pride) and then slammed him with a 55 thousand dollar judgment. They want him in jail for hurt feelings.

It blows me away that they treat this guy like a criminal when he is a dime-a-dozen harmless loon in the states. Theres usually 5 or 10 of them protesting any given gay pride parade, no one cares. The westboro baptist church still has their dumb website and signs. It brought americans together to condemn & fuck with them collectively, and the WBC recruited maybe... 2 people, iirc?

The life site news page points out something i neglected to highlight, when whatcott's attorney wanted to introduce evidence that Oger is a male the judges said that truth wasn't a defense in this case. Truth should be what courts are supposed to be after.
