that's par for the course. Chris has legitimately never made the correct move in any scenario in his life, as far as the big, meaningful decisions go. If I'm wrong I'd like to know of a time chris made the correct decision.

When you get arrested there are a number of factors that can determine if you are held in pretrial detention and for how long. Upon arrest your first court date is typically your arraignment. This is normally to cover formalities, one of which is setting your initial bond. The Judge will consider a number of factors to determine your bond. This usually includes things like the severity of the crime, your criminal history, your past history of reporting to court, and other things like that. In Chris' case, he was likely considered a high risk for not showing up to court for a number of reasons. He is autistic, delusional, does not work, was kicked out of his residence, and the nature of his charges all probably played a major role in why he was held for so long. His bond was probably set pretty high due to his risk factors and no one could/would pay it. It could also be that the Judge though Chris could benefit from services the jail could offer (most jails offer mental health services for example). Whatever the case, he was held until his bond was eventually paid or the Judged that Chris was no longer a risk to the general public. His release was also likely conditional, like needing to complete a mental health program.

Edit *I want to add for Chris specifically this is all just speculation. I haven't read any of his court paperwork and haven't really followed Chris that closely since he was arrested.

i remember him having a driveway for some reason.
here is an aerial photo of the house dated 2015 posted on the cwcki (link)notice that his house only has grass. his seems to be the only one without a driveway , not sure if this was they were too cheap to buy one or too trashy for one.
