You can always solo stuff in this one, i'm guessing Master Rank quests will be the same though.

I just need Zinogre and this MH becomes top tier.
Yea with fulgur Anjanath, I'm hoping that basically confirms Zinogre at this point. Plus the cookie leaks.

Looks like we're getting level 4 decos now. Seem to come in 2 kinds, too, those that give multiple skills and ones with + on them.

Educated guess says + ones probably give multiple levels (likely 2) of a skill instead of just one.
 
There have been a lot of leaks over the last few days, but most of them aren't anything new or interesting except this which is from today confirming Lv. 6 Shelling is in Iceborne on Velkhana's Gunlance.

Knew purple sharp was gonna be happening but it's good to see a hard confirm on that. Looking forward to going back to GL again with the new levels too.

Edit: New trailer is out, as well as some gameplay with Brachy. He looks so good in HD. A new Water Type Elder Dragon, Namielle, is teased too.

Buffs and debuffs to every weapon a lot of skills nerfed or improved and a ton of quality of life shit.

Some of the more important shit:

Bow's getting nerfed to hell. As is cluster bomb spam. Elemental and status damage on I believe all weapons are getting nerfed.

Shitter mantle's also getting nerfed:

The active duration of the Temporal Mantle is reduced with each use
  • Before update: Active duration of 90 seconds, cooldown of 300 seconds
  • After update: Active duration of 120 seconds, cooldown of 300 seconds, 20 seconds are taken off active duration every time the effect is activated
And a couple of the more popular skills:

>Razor Sharp/Spare Shot: Rate of ammo or coatings not being used has been reduced.
>Weakness Exploit: Normal affinity percentage decreased. Bonus affinity added when wounding a weak point, or wounding a body part and turning it into a weak point using the clutch claw's weapon attack. (the number in parentheses indicates total affinity after the bonus is added) Level 1: 15% → 10% (15%) Level 2: 30% → 15% (30%) Level 3: 50% → 30% (50%)


Monsters:

>Near death, monsters will no longer go to sleep at their nest if the player is present.
>Monsters with friendly relations (Rathalos and Rathian, for example) will no longer flinch when hit by each other's attacks.

>Quest difficulty will now scale in real-time according to the number of players in the quest.
>Guard directional hitboxes of certain attacks that are difficult to block have been adjusted so that players will not be hit by unintended attacks.

>Tweaked the effect length of monster roars and tremors on players
>Monsters will now build a tolerance to flash attacks. While monsters will be less susceptible to flash attacks or be completely immune to them for a period of time, their tolerance will reset afterwards.

Other stuff and QoL updates:

>Two player difficulty has been added to multiplayer. When going on a quest with two players, the difficulty will be adjusted to this setting.

Palicos:

  • Max level cap raised from 30 to 50
  • Gadget proficiency level cap raised from 10 to 15
  • Tailraider Unity level cap raised from 5 to 10
>Options for linking the Custom Radial Menu to Item Loadouts added
>Craft All option added to Custom Radial Menu
>The equipment box can now be upgraded up to 100 pages.
>You can now set custom radial info when registering item loadouts.
>You can now set whether custom radial info is also called up when using an item loadout.
>Checkmarks are added to charms that you have already crafted.
>The wishlist feature can now hold up to 36 items.
>You can now select between changing hunter or Palico equipment with the Change Equipment option.
>Remove all decorations option added
>Sort decoration option added to the Set Decorations menu

>Smithy and Resource Center facilities will become available in the Research Base as you progress in the game.
>The number of investigations you can register and maintain has been increased.
>Take All option added to the quest reward screen
>The Sharpness gauge now shows how much sharpness is extended by the Handicraft skills
>Login Bonuses are now available at UTC 00:00
>Auto-translation feature added to automatic shoutouts
(hopefully this means you can call people shitters in different languages)

Pretty much all the QoL stuff I wanted has been added (thank Christ) now it's just a matter of getting used to the weapon nerfs and changes (rip bow). There's a million things I didn't bother listing (especially all the different weapon changes) so you should definitely go over everything yourself.
 
Aaaaaa those changes are so nice but my precious bows.
Ah well..it'll be even more challenging to play as a bow/bowgun user.

Edit 2: More came out from the leaker, with screenshot of what fits his description of second phase of presumably Shara Ishvalda. First is the original bit of him talking about the boss, another map, and zinogres inclusion +maybe Chameleos. The second is the shot of phase 2.

I'm dreading this game, I hope to God they don't add more crown achievements.

Do you know how many hundreds of elder dragons I killed thinking they were large crowns? Give us some item so we can see the exact height like special binoculars or something.

There's a fuckton of inefficient guessing that goes on that requires you and the monster to be perfectly still and in the right pose. Then you take a screenshot and then bring up the screenshot manager and try and compare it to other people's pictures of giant crown monsters.

Iceborne has it's own platinum and the list seems to be a nigh exact carbon copy of World as far as trophies go.

It has the same gold crown trophies but no idea what actually counts. Will it count strictly the Iceborne monsters or are things like Deviljho going to count? It's very vague.
 
Farming Master rank versions of older mons for mats. It doesn't seem like they do any more damage then they used to, just have a boatload more hp. It also seems like they made it a lot harder for them to buck you off when mounted as not bracing or moving when they try spinning (it's a good trick) doesn't completely burn through all your stamina in one go anymore.

Defeated up to Velkana in the story so far. To get to that point I crafted an early MR set with level 7 defense boost (that 10% bonus mmm) so I ended up with 781 defense which is ... really nice to have I gotta say. I built the Acidic Glavenus Hammer, giving me a nice 1578 raw attack, hopefully this set keeps going.

It really depends on what you're fighting, tempered and arch tempered still rape but just very slightly less. How did they configure elemental damage, I feel like it's been changed?

I wound up going through the weapon trees I didn't bother to do in World because they didn't lead to max rarity weapons initially. But they seem like the only viable things to upgrade now because what was endgame in world has all the mats be from endgame stuff in iceborne.

Mind you a basic bitch iceborne weapon has like 100-150 more base damage than an endgame world weapon.
