I touched the bows for a minute and immediately recoiled back to melee. They're so much better to use in World
Same! I ultimately chose double daggers for that one but use bows in mhw like they're going out of style (or on certain monsters, rather.)

Did the map/camera thing on the 3ds seem hella wonky to you too?

I usually just put map on the bottom and set the targeting to monster-based targeting

Dauntless has pushed me back to MHW.
I appreciate what Dauntless is doing, but as I got higher in rank the more sterile its world felt. Just the hub music in MHW elicits a big response from my feels.

The dual pistols and kusarigma weapons were fucking incredible and fun though.

New trailer dropped with some new monsters and awful voice acting. Tigrex, and a Legiana Subspecies were shown, and Glavenous was teased at the end. They didn't show off Nargacuga which makes me hope they're reworking it a bit to act less like Tobi Kadachi buts probably just optimism. There's also a bunch of JP videos of weapon updates, seems like every weapon is getting a new attack, super, or utility type move.

To add to ProfDongs they just added more info about the updated movesets and the clutch claw. I have no idea why they're so obsessed with hides though.

They're also doing some livestreams June 11th-14th. I guess the June 12th one has some wrestlers joining the stage (Asuka and Xavier Woods).

Capcoms E3 stream for Iceborne. Haven't watched all of it but they've talked about QOL balances that have been pretty nice. You can access everything from the Iceborne hub (tailraiders,etc),difficulty adjustments so now there are 3 levels(1Player,2Players,3+Players) and if there are disconnects the difficulty will actually adjust back to what it should be. Mantels can also be upgraded and get slots as well. It sounds like they listened to player input for quite a few things.

That's been one of -if not the most- biggest changes that have been needed to be made from day 1 so it's great to see them finally implement it. No more being fucked in 15 minute or AT quests when your teammates DC or bail like shitheads. Difficulty adjustment is another real good change too.

Mantles are now getting a buff in iceborne with mantle+ which hold jewels, someone pointed out these jewels only activate when wearing the mantle so it might be finicky, also 4 slot jewels are a thing.
->health booster + is 100 duration instead of 60, same recharge, no slots
->ghillie mantle+ is 2 level 3 slots
->glider mantle + 120 recharge instead of 210, 2 level 4 slots
->grug is just 2 level 1 slots
->challenger is 2 level 3 slots
->iceproof is 2 level 2 slots

Just managed to solo AT Nergigante for the first time. Had to just go deep into a meta build to even make it anywhere but it was fine since I lucked out on some Kulve drops earlier. Ended up using a longsword for it and man thats come a long way since FU. There was also some unique victory music and they give you a splash screen after the hunt for Iceborne. 4 more tickets to go for the rest of the armor.

Getting back into this. Started a fresh character at 8pm because hey the other half is gone so I've got the house to myself and oh no its 3am

Sword and shield is fun in its simplicity. Every time I try to branch out I run back - big weapons are too clumsy, fast weapons are too manic, and ranged weapons are for pussies.

So it’s basically Snatch from DMC without the the air comboing? Cool.

Any Fifth fleet Kiwi's here looking to start a squad or just wish to chat/gripe/discuss Iceborne?

I'm a hammer main looking to start a squad with fellow retards on the farm and always up for a discussion

Didn't notice the new poll, would love to see an HD Brach or Zinogre, they were my favorite additions to the franchise I think. I've been hunting Vaal for the past 2 hours for a gem just to make a charm so I can hunt AT Vaal without all the nonsense DoT it does. The desire sensor in these games is too strong.
