Also, I always forget until I watch other people playing that EN Erik is voiced by a tranny and that they decided to give Palicos Voice acting. How horrifying.
I made the jump to Japanese after finding this out. I loathe Alma and welcome the ability to replace that shit, but I won't have a tranny voice actor following me around. The English dub was weak on the whole anyway so nothing was lost.

You don't go from making a long ass video about how Dos is the best game in the entire franchise and essentially peak MonHun(lol), to decrying the old systems and praising Wilds while lashing out at the criticism the game gets(lmao) if you aren't.
Lol I didn't even know about his "dos" video, but apparently it's his most viewed video on the channel. It looks like his channel has interesting videos but if the one video I partly watched and his latest video are anything to go by, it's just nonsense. Those tweets just prove it completely.
What the fuck? I have to look into this because this sounds unfathomably retarded yet perfectly Capcom. 18 fucking months on what's basically a glorified walking arena for Niggergante while occasionally firing some cannons and ballistics and slapping some glowing rocks. Rise originally being a 3DS game makes too much sense. The collab monsters being a disaster internally is somewhat surprising, especially Leshen since you'd think they'd just copy-paste the Witcher fight but with changes fitting to MH, Behemoth seems like it would have been the most complex given the shenanigans Behemoths tend to do. Wilds not suffering through the shit World and Rise did yet still coming out like garbage tickles me something fierce.

I have no idea how to hammer, but charging to level 2 and then just releasing randomly gives me offsets attacks constantly, very unga bunga (could probably play better another way)

Quests for some cosmetic pieces come out tomorrow/later today.

I've heard A rank is 2 minutes 30 seconds but that can't be right.

Still two weeks for the flamefete festival, not sure why it can't be now but fuck the players I guess.

It's less about how complex Behemoth and Leshen were, and more about how absurdly late in development they were started.

Is there a way to fight the new monsters without having to do story stuff? Did they add a hub where you can pick them?

I do wonder if they're going to do a collab monster for Wilds? If so I hope it's more like Behemoth than whatever the fuck they were trying to do with leshen.
Also, as an :informative: there's a weapon and pendant fan design contest: https://www.monsterhunter.com/wilds/en-us/contest/

They still didn't fix the performance?
On my 4070 the demo worked like a dream, the full game was a laggy mess so I refunded.
Why do you guys play this woke slop, below 50% rating 😂😂😂

I like to stress that the PC sales...beat out BOTH console sales...despite being borderline unplayable for many people on nearly top of the line hardware despite these issues being well known, well before release (due to the demo).

Only 477k sold in the last quarter, compared to over 10 million at launch, over a 95% drop in sales and already getting outsold by decade old Capcom games. It's so bad Capcom had to comment on its "soft" sales and they're currently in full panic mode with the DLC being rushed ahead.

Capcom might just have done permanent brand damage to its golden goose.

Good riddance.

"EDIT" Its funny DMC won over MH three times over because of a shity netflix show made by a stinking jeet.

The DLC slowing down is a major issue imo. It's not as slow as say, Street Fighter 6 where its content is nothing bullshit and only one legit costume pack has released in over 2 years, but the gatekeeping behind the single player campaign has probably driven away most easy casuals, and those who completed the campaign have likely finished all the existing content. Even someone like me who only gets a chance to play it once, maybe twice a week, I've got most of the endgame armour and there's little else to do afterwards.

It also doesn't help that some of the "upgrades" over its predecessors haven't amounted to anything. The "Alpha' trait only applies to Doshaguma and nothing else, and I haven't seen anything game-changing about it. They talked about monsters invading other biomes as they get driven out, but you don't get a sense of that besides "monster in other map". They could have monsters spawning in other biomes creating additional variants, or rare variations adapting to seasons and time of day. It just feels squandered, like they had plenty of opportunity to do more.

Rise almost has as many copies sold as Wilds that quarter, I think people who skipped it after World are going back and getting it when it was on sale.
Side note, glad to see DMC on the list (twice) but I fear it's because of the street shitter's horrible cartoon.

Selling 10 million in the first month and not even cracking 500k in months 2, 3, and 4 combined is the definition of falling off hard. Crapcum is one of the only companies that could lose money selling 10.5 million copies of a game though, fuck AAA.

Funny since they made the campaign easy to try and shuttle noobs to the endgame (which maybe would maybe be a fine idea if they didn't have a slog of cutscenes and AC-esque dialogue walking to go through). The total lack of endgame difficulty on launch definitely exacerbated the sluggish update schedule. With that said, the worst issue is still the performance; most of the negativity surrounding the game on PC can be chalked up to that alone.

Tempered Sergei still kicks my ass more often than not, but yeah it would have helped if they let it cook another six months before release.
No idea if the multiplayer QoL things help, all my friends stopped playing already and I don't like playing with randoms.
