Those are completely different questions, to be fair. You might find a decent landlord who still lists his shit on Craigslist because he's a boomer of the boomest type.
But if you're finding someone to live with I'd be more selective.

One of my current housemates came from a craigslist post. We stuck together out of convenience after moving out of the previous place. This was almost seven years ago and I wouldn't dream of trying to find someone there now.

See if your local grocery store or butchery has a dark steak program. I ate ribeyes and new york strips several times a week during college and the early years of my career for 99 cents per pound. The steaks are still good but people will freak out if the meat isn’t bright red.

I like to force myself to budget for less by shoving most of my money into CDs (Certs. of Deposits) so I literally can't touch it until it expires
Though practically you might get higher APYs with HYSAs or index funds, I just don't really deal with those atm (nor do I trust a lot of high apy online only banks)

These bad boys are usually being used for car bumpers and such. I personally use them for fixing anything plastic if the material is not too thin. Fridge compartments which can run above 100 $, plastic shelving, laundry baskets, garden chairs. etc etc. Clip the metal pieces sticking out off and and grind with a file over it. Of course you can make it look really nice if you wanted to too.
Price on Amazon in canada about 30 $. Comes in a kit with a bunch of staples.

I often get great deals at the ethnic shops. Spread the love to the Indian, Ethiopian, and Mediterranean markets also. Good stuff at the big East Asian supermarkets as well.
