Both Izzy and Pereddit are overrated bums, I'm looking forward for the White House event when Pereddit get exposed.
 
After tonight, if I'm a fighter, I'm never dunking on the White House event lmao.

Grinning ear to ear the whole time. Awesome card. Feels like forever since UFC has put on a genuinely exciting card. I’m hopeful.

Gane is also a bum but at least he isn't old, and he did also expose bumspinall for good.
I don't even like him but it's time to admit that Jon "Sexual Chocolate" Jones is the greatest of all time, the current UFC HW is so bad that even the current retiree Francis can demolish anyone in the roster save for maybe Gane.

Izzy was handily piecing up Pyfer at range and making him miss. That was some Michael Chandler level of fumbling. The UFC should give him an easier matchup like Roman Dolidze perhaps because it's clear that he can't deal with power punchers

I loved how the doctor came into the octagon and just sort of tapped her on the arm a little bit for 30 seconds and kept asking her if she was ok whilst she was clearly in another reality.

I don't know if it's recency bias but the reffing, judging and medical in UFC has been fucking terrible since they came back from covid. Refs will either let people get absolutely fucking murdered before ending a fight or break clinches up after 20 seconds because the crowd is booing. 50/50 fights get scored as UDs for one guy just because. The doctors are just sort of there and people are allowed to continue with massive cuts that would have stopped a fight a few years ago and the level of care after a KO seems to be "you a'ight bro?".

Fuck, Buffer even announced the wrong winner in one of the prelims last night. The whole thing is gone to shit since they merged with WWE because i presume there is huge cost cutting going on now that they are a mega-corporation.

Kalabeeb is the consensus GOAT after what he said of foids in MMA (plus no race mixing)

Having Dana afterwards in the presser when asked about fans complaining about the crappy AI generated promos going “SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WATCH THE DAMN PRODUCT!!”. The product is worse than ever it feels like.

Almost any other large business that would have someone be like that to the people viewing/customers would see a drop off but they have such a strong grip on the market of MMA as a monopsony that it doesn’t matter. Paramount giving them 7.7B over the next 7 years to stream as well as governments paying site fees to host the events. The “fans” and selling to them is no longer their concern.

They went from an “underground blood sport” where McCain was trying to get it banned to being is such close connection with the current government that they are basically throwing a full event for Donald’s 80th birthday. It’s like watching the niche sport become the most typical of corporate slop fighting. Also what used to be a dedicated underground fanbase who loved the sport has sort of been replaced by gamblers. Every ad is a gambling ad, half the damn mma YouTube accounts are telling you who to bet on including some of the fighters with their picks. It’s just a shitshow.
