It was probably the most successful weekend BJJ has had in a long time, the main complaint about the sport is that it’s very opaque to a viewer who doesn’t train. And now people IRL are asking my opinion on it.Anecdotally seen twitter BJJ accounts say that they have had an influx of new students coming in after watching this event. People with no combat sports background. If that is the case, it’s a massive success.
Basically “Hey, Veteran, you’re a jujitsu guy right? I caught the CJI after hearing about it on Rogan, that was wild.” And to me, that’s a good sign.
