I feel like the Ufc kind of did Aljo dirty by having him turn around to fight Sean only three months after beating Cejudo while Sean had a full year to train for Aljo after almost losing to Petr. Beautiful counter right on Sean's end though that was an incredible performance against an atg at 135.

I feel sorry for Aljo as he was being used by the UFC organization themselves.

The fact they immediately uploaded the KO to Twitter and YouTube makes it pretty clear who they were rooting for. I don't remember them doing that for any other recent fight.

found my new favorite fighter

lol that was quick

Who wins?
-Man who is regarded as one of the slickest strikers in the sport.
-Man who walks upright, square and throws 1-2 while swatting at bees?

Legacy torching for Izzy. A-log Alex gets the last laugh. At least he deleted Sean in less than a round.

This was most hilarious way the fight could've gone. Sean fights the champion 'goat striker' like he does everyone else and wins convincingly.

The dogfucking comments had a significant effect on the fight and you can't convince me otherwise. In his presser Sean said that was the first subject Israel brought up after the fight ended, pleading for it to not be brought up in his speech.

i find it interesting to observe just how different a state the ufc is in now than it was in 2020/21. back then it seemed like there were several generational talents who were unbeatable; usman, israel, valentina, nunes, khabib, alex. there were several people in spitting distance of silva's record
now only volkanovski remains

so whenever some memeshit fighter gets a title shot at featherweight, bet the fucking house

All the talk of an integral part of Izzys strategy being him "getting a read" on his opponents striking is hilarious now because he lost to a guy just throwing the most basic 1-2 imaginable for 25 minutes straight.

Hopefully they'll stop comparing him to Anderson Silva now because it isn't even close to being true after that dismal performance.

And Sean just brought it up in the presser instead lmao.
Unreal. After this, if Colby gets a titleshot and defeats Leon, I'm done watching MMA.
Colby would be the favourite in that fight though, unlike Strickland and O'Malley.

watching UFC 293 was a lot better than expected

two ufc fighters yell out "faggot" while doing post fight interviews
sean beats izzy with the same stance izzy was making fun of him for

watching the new tab of r/ufc was one of the greatest things to witness in real time because you had a good amount of people sneeding at the fact that sean might actually win.

finally the middleweight division will actually be interesting now
