Even sillier is that they are redoing Nunes-Pena 3 as a headliner. Very clear they wanted Izzy to beat the guy from kickboxing who knocked him out, and now that he's done that after a slip up, both the UFC and Izzy want to be as far away from it as possible. Wasn't going great for him when he got the KO either.

Middleweight is shit though, absolute dogshit. He can coast his way through fights against bums now. The only interesting fight to make now is Chimaev, and that requires Chimaev to do some work and stop fucking about.

Think Chimaev, if he doesn't get chinned on entry, exposes that Izzy's takedown defence and grappling isn't what people think it is, and he's been benefiting from weak wrestling and grappling in the division.

Pereira seems pretty chill about the fight. Was asked about Izzy trolling his son (and continuing to do twitter laps about how upset the kid is) and he basically went "I wouldn't do that, but Izzy is retarded, so whatever".

Edit: Another video he put out showing the lead up and immediate aftermath of the fight. Got someone who spoke Portuguese to give a rundown of him in the locker after the KO. Gives a frank and honest analysis of his mistakes and takes it not too badly based solely on him being financially secure and not an alcoholic.

Dude worked his ass off the past decade to become one of the pound for pound best kickboxers along with Rico Verhoeven, Tenshin Nasukawa, and Marat Grigorian.

Speaking of which, I think Grigorian was just booked to fight Allazov. That'll be such a fucking killer match. One of my dream kickboxing match-ups
 
Some people might disagree but I really think that in terms of pure skill lhw beats mw. It is true Jamahal is currently champ but that won't be the case for very long.

Great win for Max last night by breaking a 10 fight win streak. Now all he needs to do is wait for Volk to get old and fight some other big names in the mean time like tkz and Topuria vs Emett winner to build his legacy even further.

Really odd seeing Allen lose and now having a record of only 2 losses. Took him this long to have a prospect loss against the second best guy in the division. Hope he watches back and takes the right lessons and technical improvements away.

I don’t know if anyone here cares about Muay Thai, but holy shit. The lad did it. Johnathan Haggerty dispatched the fuck out of Nong-O. It was unbelievable. Site is being weird and won’t let me upload the clip, but for some brief exposition:

Nong-O is a legend of Muay Thai. He’s 36, still considered one of the best to ever do it. Household name in Thailand. Think Pacquaio. He has had over 300 MT bouts. Longtime ONE MT Bantamweight champion

Haggerty is a young Brit, 26, who is extremely skilled. He has been dropped twice to another extremely entertaining fighter, Rodtang, who took his belt and become the ONE MT Flyweight champion. Nong-O is considered by most Thai to be vastly superior to Rodtang, much more experienced, powerful, etc. There wasn’t supposed to be any way in hell for Haggerty to win

Watch the clip. It’s worth it. Nong looked like he disabled Haggerty’s left leg, but history happened.

One of the most brutal KOs I've seen this year. Should have called it by the second drop. Guess Nong-O was due this kind of end at 36 years old, in a profession where if you are a proper Thai Nak Muay, you are past it by your mid to late 20's.

Both sad to see it and excited by the finish.
 

UFC star Conor McGregor has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman during an NBA Finals game last week in Miami, according to legal letters obtained Thursday by ESPN.
The woman said McGregor "violently" forced himself on her inside a VIP men's bathroom at Kaseya Center, according to a letter sent to McGregor and his team. She said that McGregor "aggressively kissed her" before also attempting to force her into multiple sexual acts.
Asked Thursday by ESPN about the McGregor allegations, a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department said its special victims unit is investigating a report filed Sunday and no additional information will be released at this time.
The incident allegedly occurred during Game 4 of the Finals on Friday. The woman has accused the Miami Heat and NBA security of aiding McGregor in the attack by separating her from her friend and forcing her into the bathroom.
McGregor, 34, denied the allegations through his attorney Barbara Llanes.
"Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated," Llanes wrote in a statement to ESPN.
Attorney Ariel Mitchell, who is representing the woman, wrote in the letter to McGregor that the woman immediately contacted law enforcement and her law firm after the alleged attack. The letter warned of possible litigation and called for McGregor to preserve all potential evidence. Mitchell also sent legal letters to the Heat and the NBA.
UFC issued a statement Thursday saying it was aware of the allegations against McGregor, adding that it "will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements."
McGregor was at the game as a guest of the NBA and the Heat, who were playing the Denver Nuggets in the Finals. During halftime of Game 4, McGregor took part in a skit to promote a recovery spray in which he punched Heat mascot Burnie twice, which sent the man portraying the mascot to the emergency room to receive pain medication.
The Heat and NBA both acknowledged the woman's allegations in statements.
"We are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation," the Heat said. "Pending the outcome of the investigation, we will withhold further comment."
The NBA said it was working with the Heat to gather more information.
McGregor has been accused of sexual assault four previous times outside the United States, although he has not faced any legal punishment and at least one case was dropped.
TMZ first reported the latest allegations against McGregor.
A former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, McGregor is the biggest money-making star in mixed martial arts history, taking part in several of the highest-selling pay-per-view events, including a 2017 boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. McGregor has been recovering from a broken leg since July 2021 and is a coach on the current season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which was filmed in Las Vegas earlier this year.
