Uncharacteristically aggressive swang and bang performance from Allen. He's usually very measured, fights behind a nice southpaw jab, makes adjustments as the fight progresses, usually has good shot selection, and has competitive fights that he clearly wins. Seems like the O2/London crowd might have made him decide to go for it and throw lots of haymakers. Would have been nice to see some body work instead of all head hunting, but it worked for him here.

Called out Kattar in the interview, which has banger/fight night main event written all over it. I would like to think that the ever tough Kattar won't get finished by such a sloppy flurry by Allen, so he's going to go at it with the usual measured performance he normally does.

I think the haymakers also come from Allen's lack of respect for Hooker's defense. Like we've probably seen before, Hooker doesn't block and has very little head movement, which gave him trouble in the Poirier fight.

And yes, I do think Allen does something measured vs Kattar. I expect him to stay behind the jab and use his hand speed to set up clinches and takedowns. It'll be one of those UDs that gets Allen a performance bonus, I'd say.

Make sense. Hooker is the typical tall man style of defence where range management is the main line of defence for him, and then past that tries to the Cerrone-style intercepting knee before it all fall to shit and he has to use his chin to bail him out.

Man, the Jai Herbert fight makes me kinda sad. It's clear that Herbert is one of sharpest boxers in his division, which is saying a lot because he's in lightweight. However, it's also clear that he's a perfect embodiment of a glass cannon; hard hitter, but can't take any hard hits himself.

He also had a fight with Francisco Trinaldo, which I watched around the time it came out, and it was almost as sad since Jai was hit on the forehead and still got rocked.

Herbert vs Topuria 5.mp4
Topuria demonstrating why people should hit the body more. That left hook to the body got Jai to drop his hands and focus for a split second on the damage to the body, and he completely missed on the overhand right that followed.

Also, I noticed that Jai mostly relied on stepping or moving his head backwards to avoid punches, which is a bad idea if you're dealing with a pressure fighter, since you can get backed up until you're against the fence, which will limit your movement front and back.

Jai can really benefit from slipping and rolling under punches since it complements his lateral footwork. If Jai rolled under Topuria's overhand and pivoted to his left, that would give him a chance to back Topuria to the fence or regain the center of the cage.

JorGAY cant even jump someone properly ahahahahahah
How the script has flipped. He had the start of a star moment when he sparked Till out and then threw the "3 piece and a soda" at Edwards backstage.

Now he's jumping Colby like a jilted ex lover after he got hugged for 25 minutes in front of a crowd. Just looks utterly pathetic. Still mad that he happened to get "injured" for the Edwards fight and then 3 months later was OK to fight Colby. Just seems really bitch made.

Jorge seems like a pretty shitty person. I don't blame him for cashing in on his rise to fame after the Till and Askren wins, but he's still a pretty awful person who would probably be in jail or dead if it weren't for the UFC

he knew Edwards would smoke him

Apparently JorGAY wore a hoodie and surgical mask and hit Colby as he was leaving the restaurant and told him 'Not to talk about his kids.'. Colby never even said anything about the kids, he called Jorge a deadbeat, which is probably 100% true.

From the ESPN article.
The person suffered a fractured left tooth and an abrasion to his left wrist. Masvidal, according to the person's account, was wearing a blue surgical mask and a hoodie that covered his head. He was able to identify Masvidal, he said, because of his trademark curly hair that flowed out of the hoodie in addition to his voice and the upper half of his face.
Colby took more damage in this than his 25 min fight with Jorge. Also lol at how shit his disguise was. Dude is 37, worth a good deal of money, and he's running around like some thug. I also love how a lot of official sources refuse to identity who the victim was, even though it's plain as day that it's Colby.

For a guy doing this WWE styled shtick, his shit seems to follow him back home to his private life. Can't even eat at a restaurant without getting punched.

It only follows him because people like poosdival take it all personally.

I'm a long time MMA fan but it's probably the gayest shit ever, and also the worst "cheat" ever. It's double disgusting there are Whoregay dick riders who bitch about "Colby too mean, muh Whore's feefees", on social media. Fuck you, knee yourselves and die. The only mistake Covington made was he was (most likely) not carrying a gun. Those shitbag criminals should've been killed, literally. What a disgrace.

I hope Jorgay gets 50-40ed in the court room (both civil/ciriminal), and ends up a drunk coked up fat regional pro wrestler as Felony Bro or something (with Krazy Horse Bennet ofc).

Wasn't firing back. If you shell up and don't return fire they will jump in.
It was like three seconds and shelling up is an actual defense technique. Was he supposed to Matrix dodge every punch in slow motion or something?

I'm getting MATI thinking about it.

It was also his body posture after the 1-2 where he went all chicken legged before the head kick. That it was the second time where he was eating a big shots and not doing much.

Imagine making Colby a sympathetic figure in an altercation. That takes real talent.
But...but...he talked shit about his kids!!!

Yeah no, he never did, the most he said was Jorge is a deadbeat dad, which if he's going around outside looking to sucker punch people for hood honour, he might have a point. Might I also add that CKB (Adesanya, Hooker, Riddell etc) had one of their friends and teammates jumped and suckerpunched, knocked over, hit his head, and died as a result just last year. This is something no one in the MMA sphere should be condoning after that, even if it is Colby getting punched.

Finally got to watch the Moraes vs Yadong fight. Don't remember Yadong's boxing being this good. What I really liked was his counterpunching; Moraes was pushing his jab too much and Yadong punished him with the overhand like 3+ times.

I wouldn't have a problem if Yadong fought a guy in the top 5. Screw that actually, you could give him Yan and it would be a barn burner.

He is really good. Never understood the crying over his Chito decision, just saw it as one of many close fights where the more active guy got the nod.

Think he beats O’Malley?
