Sorry for the double post, but I thought this was pretty cool.

David Feldman, owner of BKFC, has been making waves recently. His organization is pretty successful and he is relatively unknown. I watch BKFC when it’s on, and often poke jabs at Feldman for being obviously coked out of his mind any time he’s on camera. He gave an interview about his past on Ariel Helwani’s show today, and even if it isn’t true, it’s one of the most bad ass stories I’ve heard.

Here’s the link, check it out. Runtime is about 10 minutes long. Ariel is insufferable as per usual but the story manages to humanize Feldman, which is a W.

https://x.com/arielhelwani/status/1877088621314117919

Two stories. Feldman, 8, is living at home while his parents are separated. Feldman goes to live with his dad. While with his dad, his mother begins to date some guy. Said guy beats her, throws her out of a moving vehicle, and runs her over. She is rendered a quadriplegic. She doesn’t overtly tell him what happened, and the guy disappears. Feldman, 30, is running a bar when he meets a cute girl that ironically shares the same last name as the mother’s former boyfriend. He manages to social engineer the woman for the whereabouts of his mother’s ex boyfriend. He finds him and slashes the shit out of his Achilles tendons (Badass Meter: ***** - ultra legendary badass), telling him that he will never walk again.

Feldman’s mother, despite the odds, lives a relatively normal life. She’s happy, contented. She meets another guy and marries. The mother’s new husband and she are living happily, until one day when Feldman’s mom suddenly dies. He claims she was otherwise healthy. Autopsy reports claim that something obstructed her breathing, to which Feldman believes that the husband grew weary of taking care of his mother and suffocated her with a pillow.

Feldman finds the guy on the streets and beats the fuck out of him (Badass Meter: *** 1/2 - super badass, but not Achilles tendon slash badass).

Second story was 15 years ago. Feldman is 54.

The world is healing. Leben and Miller looked like they are getting healthier and refusing to poison themselves! Two OGs that only gave it their all and went out on their shields.

Bryce Hall and Kimbo Slice Jr is off. Just saw this now. I'm thinking Bryce pussed out. The dude's obviously a roider, and let's be honest his win from a dislocated shoulder was a fluke.

This right here shows what we can do as a society. I remember seeing this article recently in my feed and I shrugged it off because I'm a prick. Seeing that image of his face really restores a small bit of humanity to me. We can do great shit but we keep being stupid fucking faggots.

Is Ilia going to rematch Volk or is he moving up to fight Charles? I know it's probably the former, but the guy does like talking big, and for good reason seeing as he has both the skills and popularity to back it up so I'm not sure either way what the UFC will do. I'm actually glad Belal is champ at welterweight, because I *really* want to see Ilia fight Islam eventually. I like it that Ilia calls him out a lot, but I'm really afraid that Islam might retire soon and he doesn't seem to be interested in fighting Ilia.
Javier has been saying that Islam could move up to middleweight, and I'm all for it! Watching Islam getting completely muscled around and emasculated by either DDP or Khamzat would make me really happy

I may be in the minority here, but I think Ilia knocks out Islam. This is the underdog pick I would be most confident about ever. I think it would play out a lot like Volk Islam 1, with the exception that Ilia is much more dangerous. If Volk - who could barely sting Max - was able to outbox Islam at moments and knock him down twice, I think Ilia could find his shots a lot better in virtue of being a better boxer with a shit ton more power and finish him in brutal fashion. Ilia's frame allows for him to be able to protect his body and head both at the same time, so I don't see Islam headkicking him into the stratosphere unless Ilia gasses hard and gets sloppy in his defense. Islam's best chance would be the grappling, but that skill set of his I feel is a slight bit overrated. Not to say that his grappling is bad, but he's not on Khabib's level in terms of dominance. He took down Volk a lot of times, but could do fuck all with it. Even Dustin was able to survive against him a few times. His submission over Charles came from his rocking him, and Dustin only late in the fight really badly hurting and tired from the war they had. Ilia is, however, untested against truly high level grapplers, so it would be interesting to see if he manages to survive, but he comes from a grappling background himself, so I think he would. Still, I have it as a KO for Topuria.

I don’t disagree with you. Dustin was able to do quite a bit of damage to Islam, and Ilia is probably leagues stronger than Dustin, at least confirmed to be way more precise.

I think Islam easily makes the top 5 but begins to struggle at top 3 at MW.

Khamzat v Islam would be a locking of horns, but I just don’t see Islam being able to take Khamzat’s pressure. Khamzat takes him to the ground and suffocates him. He’s bigger. Faster. Overall a better fighter IMO.

Maybe a spicy take, but I think Izzy v Islam would be an interesting matchup. One of the things I actually like about Islam is that he will strike first before taking it to the ground. Izzy would try to finesse him at range before Islam eventually forces him to the mat. The match is pretty much over when Izzy gets taken down.

Sean v Islam… Islam counters every teep thrown. I do think cardio favors Sean and his input is chaotic and kind of difficult to read, but again, once it gets down on the mat, it’s over.

Islam v DDP - similar as above, trade teeps for powerful and accurate crosses and better TDD, and significantly less cardio. I still think it’s done if Islam manages to get him on the mat.

Khamzat has the best chance of dominating him. DDP has reasonable odds of knocking him out. Sean is capable of surprising everyone, and might live to win a point decision. I don’t think Izzy can realistically beat Islam, but we’ve been surprised before.

I don't think I've ever seen Chris Curtis fight and not get kicked in the balls at least once. Either he's the unluckiest fucker in the league or he's smuggling plums.

Edit: lol

Bellator is fucking dead - confirmed. Sucks. Competition is always a good thing, but the writing was on the wall since PFL acquired them. Speaking of which, they’ve stated that they are going to allow elbows in regular matches, and they’re lowering the prize pool of their 1,000,000 dollar tournament to 500,000. Not a good look.

UFC 311 is this weekend. Card looks pretty solid. Nothing stands out too much for except Dariush v Moicano. I always look forward to seeing Moicano fight, and especially now since he basically 10-7d BSD during his last outing. This is a make or break fight for Dariush. If he gets knocked out in the first round again, he needs to call it.

There are a lot of fights lately where I'm going to be depressed no matter who loses and Moicano vs Beneil is one of them. Feels bad, man.
It's a little bit easier though, because even as a fan of both, it's obvious that Moicano deserves his final run. Just sucks knowing it's probably over for another top tier lightweight I've watched for years who unlike Tony, is an actual really nice and well put together guy outside of MMA. I will always remember Benny KO'ing Drakkar Klose dead fondly.

Benny seems like a super good, composed guy. Family man, cares about his fans, not an overt dickhead. Yeah. This one sucks, but Moicano is better for the business. Let’s see what happens. I’ll never count Benny out.

Speaking of depression, this was just sent to me:

Long overdue, but it sucks to witness the coming end of yet another era. He didn’t need to get his brains bashed in any further though. Maybe he can stick to the UFC jiu-jitsu crap.
