Inventory bloat is real and I've had uniquely unpleasant inventory hell with a mixture of apotheosis affix items and born in chaos mobs dropping 600 different giblets. This shit filled up even a occultism dimensional storage quickly if I didnt keep it pruned.
That's modded. I'm talking vanilla Minecraft. Giving more uses for dyes is something I support, but also why not just add chest variants for every wood type?

It took until 1.8 to get multi-wood fences, how the fuck do we not have wood variants for chests and crafting tables when modders have been doing it for years? I know it's Microjang but man...

The answer is extremely simple - when you have all the time and money in the world, you do not have any real incentive to create anything - just like other vermin in AAA VG world, they would rather edge and dripfeed to 'create hype' than actually create content. Sort of like Patreon grifters that have monthly supporters would rather sit out and let more money flow through because completing work means potentially slowing down the money flow. It's all so backwards but then again it makes sense in their retarded minds. No fun is allowed in nu-Minecraft, and certainly 'lets do something cool' tenet is dead since they have policy of no more of one block/entity interacting with something else results in 'island content' that is barren as well.

I HATE 'islands' of content/DLC with passion - it's the laziest way to implement anything because its 'cheapest' when it comes to implementing it as you have limited amount of fault points. Sure, whatever. But it also is the hallmark of room-temp IQ design that never bothers to answer the question of 'how this fits in a game?' or 'what is the purpose of this in larger picture?'. A lot of shit is defended by 'oh well its just cosmetic' but this just increases the bloat if they just exist to give fluff and nothing else. There was a good point brought up by just adding variety to EXISTING things which is a way better solution than adding something bespoke - I like the idea of being able to dye storage entities because its both cosmetic and functional.

I thought when they added copper that it would have some cool armor/tools that might work on 'quasi-gold' level of being weak but having better enchants applied to them, or hell maybe even some kind of bronze/brass stuff. Maybe redstone-like components since the copper is conductive? No, here's a FOV increase for spyglass, some blocks that age (I'll admit that's cool, I won't be negative nancy on everything) and that's pretty much that's it. AND THAT'S IT? I guess at least mods now have a single source of copper bars/ore that would previously be added by their own mods. Still, a lot of these mods add tin/zinc for bronze/brass so copper is a token effort for those.

I get that modders are, in majority, autists with much more free time to burn than a regular person, but 'people' at Mojang are working "full time" living luxuriously supposed to create 'quality' additions for the game and yet still being mogged by modders. At some point, it just stops being funny, and it's just aggravating or just sad to look at the state of things. Man, I miss Notch and his autism *sigh*

Probably more true than someone intended it to be:

Did some more work on my house. The first floor is complete, I’m planning on working on the second floor soon.

I found a way to take any image and turn it into an in-game map. It’s just a super easy program I found online, you just need to move files around, so I’ve been having loads of fun taking screenshots and building a gallery type thing for them.

Call me a total faggot, but this project along with a freecam mod is just a blast, and as my world grows so will the gallery.

i have no idea why this was recommended to me but the whole digger joke is extremely funny.

okay i gots to post this clip here:

he also has other moments where he spits fire too like calling them all gay and saying that they don't give a shit about anyone other than themselves but this one was worthy of clipping the most, his video smells a bit of reddit irony but he still shot some good shots.

I don't even know man, I'm too old for this shit.

Because I have some time to kill during the break between semesters I've just been vibing and playing a lot.
I'm making significant progress on the gallery, I really like the terracotta for this type of build. And when you're walking around in the game the map art looks amazing, and it's a lot of fun to scout out areas for good shots, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

It's coming along, I still have a lot of screenshots to add and a lot of room to work with.

These ones are my favorites of all the screenshots I took for this project. Damn that mushroom NICE. Slowing down and really planning out the pictures makes you look at your builds a different way, it's very enjoyable.

Been playing for a bit in a household server we've been running, this is the world so far, figured someone may enjoy seeing other's builds:
So, the world started off with my sister and her BF, but it turned into a household server, the first thing they built were 2 medieval style houses on an island surrounded by a river, I built a hobbit foxhole across from them:
2026-08-11_20.52.36.png2026-08-11_20.52.46.png
Later on my sister built a castle like structure I named "Aushwitz" because it was built to torture the big nosed merchants:
2026-08-11_20.51.40.png2026-08-11_20.51.59.png
I added the swastika later, its map art, took forever to make, everyone helped though:
swastika.PNG
I added it to my base, I like that it makes the fox banner look militaristic:
2026-08-11_20.45.57.png
My base only has a storage room, observatory, villager trading area (for quartz) and a lab under construction
The star trek transporter is an ender pearl stasis chamber, the control panel on the left lets you select when you want to be teleported back in 5 minute intervals, it uses a chunk loader and item despawn mechanic, each redstone lamp lit up indicates the timer, it counts down too, supports all 4 people on the server and can teleport you back from the end, nether, anywhere.

2026-08-11_20.49.31.png
I have a villager farm that infinitely breeds villagers and drops them into campfires, eventually I want to build an entire lab to torture them:
2026-08-11_20.47.29.png2026-08-11_20.46.47.png
Some pictures of the town, the cross on the hill is a memorial, had a few pets and people die lately, with another one following soon so it was a nice outlet to think of them:
2026-08-11_20.50.36.png2026-08-11_20.52.17.png2026-08-11_20.53.42.png2026-08-11_20.54.16.png2026-08-11_20.54.27.png2026-08-11_20.56.46.png
The backrooms project, just a bunch of big empty yellow rooms, occasionally I put a build copying an old screenshot of the world or build from a memory that I have, its supposed to be like a memory, frozen in time or decaying, I liked the old concept of it being an echo of reality or higher truth as opposed to the zoomie scp spoopy monster video game interpretation of it, so thats what I tried to go for:
2026-08-11_20.59.19.png2026-08-11_20.59.38.png2026-08-11_20.59.59.png2026-08-11_21.00.09.png
One of the rooms only really makes sense in a video, the music is just what plays when you're in the end, felt fitting tbh.

2026-08-11_21.06.19.png

Someone is copying someone's old build who has brain damage now to put in the world. Bit bittwerseet, may post it when its done.

I want to share this screenshot snapped Oct 4 last year the moment KurtJMac arrived at the Far Lands. It really captures the internal anguish of living a miserable existence pleasing Redditors, manchildren, trannies and living under the thumb of Quirk Chungus.

Anyway, Figonometry began walking to the corner Far Lands (a second time) recently if anybody is curious about that.

I don't understand the appeal of sinking your precious time into these challenges. The novelty has worn out. It's mind numbing and pointless. It's like the video game equivalent of watching paint dry.

I took a break from the interior to landscape, and added a lot of water. I had to build a wall because water always wants to fill itself in, and that looks like a big weird square so the wall breaks it up and I really like the look of it.
Different levels of water adds a lot to landscapes, and you can retrofit cave openings and such into springs that flow down to sea level for some nice features.

Anybody know if Create: Northstar - Redux is any good? I'm still learning Create (outside circumstances have made it exceedingly difficult, my Badlands build falling through notwithstanding), but I've been looking for dimension mods and was hoping for something space-related for a while. This cropped up, and it seems pretty solid, but I'm hesitant due to past experiences with space mods.

I finished the redstone on a bamboo factory, and it was a fun problem to work with.
2026-08-15_17.07.08.png 2026-08-15_17.41.03.png
So, the flying machines break the bamboo, hopper minecarts collect the bamboo, and bubble columns move the bamboo into the crafting system to turn it into bamboo blocks. The blocks are again carried into a bubble column for the storage system.
Each individual part of the farm can be turned on and off easily. I used pistons to move observers to turn the crafting on and off along with lights to show if it's on or off and the storage system has lamps that light up if there's at least one chest worth of blocks in a given double chest.
I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make this thing, the next thing will be the aesthetics. Using water to move items is fun because you can see them moving all over the place, and it’s really just an easier way to move things sometimes.

"One of the longest debates in the minecraft community is which version of the game is best? Java or Bedrock?"
and this is why i started to hate gayming communities, it's like fucking shitrock only exists because microslop is contractually bound not to monetize java edition and trying to argue over this is fucking, well, funny but retarded and pointless.
not to mention that microslop will try to monetize or destroy java, it's part of their jewtry.
