Not that anyone cares about my random opinion, but it's out to "stream" now, and decided to give it a watch. I think it walks a fine line between total dogshit and being actually endearing. But I don't think it succeeds in either and is just kind of flat. I did enjoy the cheesiness though, the whole film is a just a giant shitpost.

I still recall when this "Minecraft" thing was some newfangled building vidya with texture-mapped cubes, deliberately made to look "retro", and sorta like TurboLode. Then it somehow became a big corporate franchise with merchandise in stores like Target? And now there's even a "Minecraft" movie? This whole "Minecraft" fad sure is moving fast ...
