For anyone that is wondering, yes there was a successor to the PFED, I'm pretty sure it's declassified at this point, but it's essentially a Samsung Galaxy with mapping data.

one of the best recorded dogfights happened with one of these lolThe OV-10 was kinda retarded looking but also pretty based.

Fight me. This fucker could carry sidewinders. There was a possibilty of it shooting down a mig in Nam which makes me chuckle despite it being ground attack.
That wasn't a dogfight, that was a slaughter lolone of the best recorded dogfights happened with one of these lol
It's pretty good, but the RMMV HX is a lot newer and very very good. The HEMTT is the best logistics truck ever designed, and I will die on this hill:
The most current version only had 16 total pilots in the Army and 40 or more that are just retired Air Force and Coast Guard guys that fly them as contractors for a specific entity.Have you ever heard of the Guardrail EW aircraft, I knew a guy who worked on the revamp of it and the story behind it was really cool, in the the defense industry is super scummy way.

Its a Motorola rebadged as Honeywell iircFor anyone that is wondering, yes there was a successor to the PFED, I'm pretty sure it's declassified at this point, but it's essentially a Samsung Galaxy with mapping data.
German equipment is either hit or miss for me. I like the HEMMET just because its so standardized at this point. I do like the new Skyranger 30It's pretty good, but the RMMV HX is a lot newer and very very good.
Could you explain this one, it looks like the Little Bird but not:This is the best helicopter ever built. All other opinions are wrong.

Is it the OH-6?

It had a fantastic gun but Army Brass thought it was clever to make the pilots fly without it, as they might be tempted to, y'know, actually kill their enemies rather than just finding them.Pure scout observation copter. Guess it could mount a machine gun from what I'm reading if you were feeling spicy
I'll put that book on my list. That's pretty stupid but sounds like the Army to a T. No such thing as too much firepower. That and I doubt pilots would be getting up close often when the entire front is bubble glass. Glad the retards didn't win in the end though, the Little Bird is packed with weaponsIt had a fantastic gun but Army Brass thought it was clever to make the pilots fly without it, as they might be tempted to, y'know, actually kill their enemies rather than just finding them.
Read 'Low Level Hell' by Hugh L. Mills. Great book.
Not true. I got issued them when I was deployed for MRF-D. They also only cost 60 or 70 bucks at most surplus stores, making them super cheap for a great price of gear.Yes but only the air force gets those.
Is it capable of doing text-only communications and field telephone compability like say, SANLA?For anyone that is wondering, yes there was a successor to the PFED, I'm pretty sure it's declassified at this point, but it's essentially a Samsung Galaxy with mapping data.
It was supposed to be a joke but it just suckedNot true. I got issued them when I was deployed for MRF-D. They also only cost 60 or 70 bucks at most surplus stores, making them super cheap for a great price of gear.
Now, I imagine the Air Force might get better ones, I have not been to an air force base to look at their stuff to know though.
It was capable of doing anything a Samsung Galaxy S3 was, so yes it can talk and text.Is it capable of doing text-only communications and field telephone compability like say, SANLA?
I just took it too literally. To be fair, 9 times out of 10 you would be 100 percent right! It was supposed to be a joke but it just sucked![]()
Didnt that thing get discontinued? RIP along with the A-10 WarthogView attachment 6407824
The "loach" Little Bird variant is pretty cute ngl. Can carry some Hydras, Hellfires, machine guns, and a sensor pod or carry some boys in the back. The OH-6 straight version is just slick:
