Will do - I got the opportunity to ask some PETA members why they have a positive view of the group, and the answer affirmed what I observed. Quote; "The world is full of unjust suffering, and its PETA's job to reduce the amount of that suffering."

I asked if that justified the high kill shelters, and the response? The most sociopathic thing I've ever heard from a person who I've observed to be very proud of their "empathy".

"If death relieves suffering, I'm okay with as many dying as necessary." When has that ever been said if not by a serial killer?

Yes, death relieves suffering... if the animal or person in question is severely injured or terminally ill and is basically doomed to die slowly and painfully. I don't want to start a euthanasia debate, but I personally think that the only time it can be justified as being merciful is when someone/something is in a horrible amount of pain and has no chance of recovery. If you think that euthanizing a perfectly healthy animal "relieves suffering," you're fucking insane. That animal could have gone to a loving home, which is infinitely better than having its life cut short. When (non-PETA) animal shelters are forced to euthanize animals because of overcrowding, they don't treat it like it's this hugely selfless and empathetic act that's worthy of praise; they treat it as a necessary evil and do everything they can to prevent it. That's why non-PETA shelters have kill rates that are so much lower; euthanasia is a last resort, not a mission statement.

A lot of what drives this is that many of the higher-up PETA members (as well as the basic-level fanatics) believe that any form of animal ownership- including keeping pets- is akin to slavery. That's why the nuttier ones kidnap people's dogs and cats, to "liberate" them. And, unfortunately, they usually end up euthanizing these pets, as to them its a choice between slavery and death; in their eyes, death is the merciful and empathetic choice. Too bad the animals don't have any say in it.

Ingrid Newkirk and all of her little cronies need to be arrested.

Also, I just found this in the SJW thread...

"If you eat eggs and drink milk, you are literally advocating the enslavement of all women everywhere."

So almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk are against feminism? I guess that makes drinkers of those sort of milks anti-feminist.

Chickens are women now. Holy shit.

I'd love to see someone respond to that shit by smashing a PETArd's car.

That just breaks my heart. I sincerely loathe PETA now.

These people murdered someone's pet for no reason?!

I'm sorry... I just can't.

It seems like Ingrid's particular "exaggerated utilitarianism warped into nihilism" is starting to spread out from her into the rest of the organization. No doubt they believed that by killing that dog, they spared it "the pain" of being an owned animal.

I have to wonder how long the veneer of being a pro-animal organization will last, before the reality of what they are becomes apparent.

Not only that, the dog belonged to a little Mexican girl who had just immigrated to the States with her family. Her dad said she was having a lot of trouble adjusting to a new country and that the dog was her best and only friend.

So not only did PETA murder someone's pet, it happened to be an immigrant girl's only friend. So now she has to deal with her beloved dog's death at the hands of a bunch of lunatics (and to rub salt in the wound, it sounds like they got off with barely any punishment even though there was tons of evidence) on top of everything else.

I swear to God, if someone murdered my precious baby (ie my dog) and then gave me a fucking fruit basket, I would legitimately assault them with a blunt weapon. I am not a violent person by any stretch of the imagination, but even I have my limits. The prison time would be so worth it.

Considering that about the pet, that the dog was the only friend of a child who has trouble adjusting to a new country, the PETA members that were directly involved in this should really face the consequences. They can save their reason as to why they euthanize pets because honestly, it makes them come off as hypocrites in caring for the welfare of an animal.

I tried to go a vegetarian diet (no vegan) for a month because I wanted to simply try it and see if I could lose some pounds. I went to check and connect with other vegetarian on a french forum... it was a little vegetarian forum but 3/4 of the members were vegan, PETA members and other extremists. They put to shame everyone who were vegetarians or tried ("because you eat unfertilized egg (aka not suit for life), you maltreated a chicken EVEN IF IT IS A FREE RANGE CHICKEN YOU RAISED YOURSELF").

The general forum was horrible. It has a thread where they were posting every news about animals killing people, even young kids. There was a post about a husky killing a newborn and they were actually chearing for the death of the kid http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/dog-kills-newborn-baby-in-airdrie-alberta.
Sadly, I didn't try the diet because I couldn't find anyone to give me tips and help me trough it without putting my health in jeopardy. I don't understand how you can live with yourself over the death of kids or killing animals "to free them".

There is good vegans, but it's always the idiots who talk louder.

My cat died a year and a half ago but he was my friend and companion for as long as we'd had him (since I was six). He was the sweetest cat I've ever known. He died of natural causes, but man, if it had been someone killing him I would not rest until everything they loved was dead. And I'm not violent either.

That's why this whole "PETS = SLAVES" mentality is so fucking idiotic. I've had my dog for 12 years, since I was 7. We literally grew up together. She's my best friend and to be honest I love her more than I love most of the people in my life; she's part of our family. The vast majority of pet owners will tell you that their pet is less of an animal they own and more of a member of the family. Pets (especially dogs and cats) have such strong personalities that it's impossible not to love them as individuals.

The bond between a human and animal can actually be stronger than a bond between two people. With an animal, you don't have to pretend or put on airs. You don't have to worry about doing or saying something wrong. You can just be yourself and they'll love you for who you are as long as you're kind to them. And don't believe the bullshit cynics say, animals are perfectly capable of feeling love.

But no, PETA, you're right. We're just enslaving these poor animals by loving them and providing everything they want and need; any domesticated animal would happily give up a life of safety and guaranteed meals to live in the wild or to be murdered euthanized. Instead of working on laws and the like that protect abused animals, we should just get rid of human-animal interaction altogether. When hasn't "separate but equal" worked?

Damn, with my dogs, if I hurt them by accident by stepping on their paw or tail, I feel like the worst person in the universe. But in the end, they still love me, they still want to cuddle and go to the park.
I think PETA members never had this kind of relation, with an human or an animal, this is why they are so bitter about other people's animals.
Working animals like their work, people who work with their animal love working with them. Some person needs a caregiver and their dog/horse/pet turtle is the best support and the opposite is also possible. You can't destroy a symbiotic relationship without consequences.

Soy milk etc are gender-reassigned products, i.e. transwomen. If you drink these you have to hand over your ally badge.
