Dogs are omivores like us; they evolved alongside us to eat a lot of our scraps. They benefit from a varied diet, just like we do. While it is possible to have a vegan dog, an owner should really pay attention to the amount of nutrients the pet is getting. If anything is imbalanced, the pet can encounter major health problems. It is much less risky and beneficial to give a dog the diet it has evolved for: an omnivorous one--with both meat and other food groups. Cats, however, should never be made vegan. They are actual carnivores, and will die from a vegan diet. They absolutely require nutrients found in meat to be healthy.

Lol killing something is treating it responsibly? Lmfao. 59 pages of people feeling guilty and using cognitive dissonance while giving themselves heart disease, erectile dysfunction and bowel cancer.
At least I die happy.

If you get yet another one of my threads an Infected or Plagued tag I swear to God

Vegan gains acquired his dog while he was vegan. He's a fucking tard, puts himself in a situation where he has to buy animal products and calls himself a vegan.. He can't even debate NoBullshit.
No kidding he's an idiot. If he wanted a vegan-capable pet he should have gotten a fucking hamster.

Shut up, you filthy leafmouth! How many plants have you dismembered in front of their brothers and sisters, huh? How many plant fetuses have you swallowed whole? Then you toss the parts you don't use into your compost graveyard to rot slowly, like a genocidal conqueror setting up a pile of human skulls in your own backyard! You herbivores make me sick.

Please... just give peas a chance.

I know it's late but I hate it when people say that cage-free is just a label. There is a chicken farm close to my area and you could watch the chicken running around outside all day. They even have small trees they can hide under on hot sunny days. Those eggs are the best ones I've ever eaten and the only ones I buy.

if that was intending to gross me out it failed spectacularly.
For a lot of people there's this disconnect between where their food comes from and what they actually eat. Spend a summer on a farm as a kid and you'll learn a lot of things really quickly and you'll get over a lot of things just as fast. And yes, free range eggs where the chickens are able to run around free and eat bugs and peck in the dirt are some of the tastiest eggs you will ever have.

There is no problem with eating meat regardless of what some vegan decides to say. Do I think we eat too much of it? Yes. While a 24oz Porterhouse steak done perfectly over hardwood charcoal and served with onion rings and sauteed mushrooms might be tasty deluxe, that's a lot of meat not to mention fat and potential carcinogens. Does that mean we should stop eating meat altogether? Fuck no. I know I'm not. But it does mean that you should still slow down and reduce your portions. Eat it in moderation, don't forget the veg and you can live a long and healthy life.

My biggest problem with the "meat causes cancer" argument is it's pulling stats about outright burnt or cured (nitrated) processed meats, and trying to lump it in with fresh/not burnt meat and pretend that it all causes cancer at equal levels, and then they go and pretend that eating one gram of meat ever will give you ass cancer in five seconds.

And we've known this for years. It's not the meat itself, it's the way we prepare it. And just about any food you cook using high heat until it browns or chars is bad for you.

Just about any starch if toasted sufficiently contains "acrylamides" and guess what? They have been linked to cancer. Does this mean you shouldn't eat bread? No, it means you need to be aware of what happens in your food. Same thing with growing plants in toxic soil. Whatever is in the ground gets into the plants and this can cause food poisoning. In fact most of the cases of food poisoning in the United States comes from dirty produce.

The whole thing is if you eat a balanced diet and don't go too extreme to one way or another there's no reason why you can't live a long and healthy life.
