Honey, it's always been a bunch of seals barking about how they're gonna get themselves an Asian or Russian mail-order bride and keep her as the upstairs maid, because white women are fat and stupid (and then not doing it because they know, deep down, straight women aren't attracted to pussies). I know. 'Tradition' almost always seems to mean 'idealized 1950s America'. But never real 1950s America, because none of them want to support themselves, a wife, and 3.5 kids on a factory job while living in a less-than-a-1000 sq foot house.

There are places like Sudan which are paedo paradises where it's common for girls to be married off at puberty to much older men, and polygamy is legal. Their age of consent and marriage is 10, and 38% of girls are married by 18. Of course, they absolutely expect men to work hard to support their families, which these tards would never do, which is why they don't move there.

MGTOWs tend to believe that marriage is a scam and a sham, and all women want marriage just to get men's money. The MGTOWs who long for the days of old probably long for the early to mid 1900s, where society started growing, and women had to depend on men for finance and just were homemakers.
Some MGTOWs just wanna have a ton of one night stands, because they think all women are a certain way and a relationship is inherently going to be bad.

It's of course fine if someone wants to just have one night stands or doesn't want a relationship, but they have all of these beliefs about how women are, how things were back in X time (that they didn't even exist in), and whine about how women have it easy/are greedy/etc. I swear, the way some MGTOWs like that Sandman guy talk about women like they're fucking goblins.

Some want to live a free and loose life without a relationship, and others want the traditional family unit that you really only saw in old television shows and old movies, y'know, the Hollywood portrayal. Because Hollywood is accurate.

And they simply cannot accept that, in many jurisdictions, women actually could and did own property in their own names, vote, and even hold office. They'll deny it if you bring it up. It's hilarious to me that a group that insists that the Feminist Cult of Victimhood has caused them so much damage, is so deeply dependent on the monolithic view of history that men have always had all the power/humanity and women have always been oppressed and treated as chattel.

Ultimately, they don't want women to depend on them; they want to own someone. They want to be the only ones with rights. They're literally afraid that if a woman had a choice in the matter, she wouldn't choose them; ironically, it's their attitude that guarantees that outcome.

Traditional societies generally also have more restrictions on male freedoms that I don't think most of them would like.
  • Shotgun weddings. MGTOWs haaaate when women 'trap a man' with a baby, but that happened a lot more back in the day. Which makes sense: in a world with no Big Government to enforce child support payments, societies want to ensure children are taken care of. Also, even if birth control/condoms/abortions exist, getting them is often difficult, frowned upon, or illegal.
  • Divorce is usually a lot harder to get, and is culturally looked down upon. (Note: I'm aware the Muslim world has...different(?) rules on this than the West, but none of these losers are Muslim so it doesn't really matter.) While in largely Protestant USA divorces happened, albeit rarely, in the 1800s, in heavily Catholic Ireland the constitution outlawed divorce until 1995. And the referendum overturning that just barely passed with 50.28% voting yes.
  • On that note, atheism is generally frowned upon.
  • You can't just wear whatever you want like these shlubs do. Middle class 1950s man would never have gone outside wearing a tshirt and jeans. There's an expectation of cultural conformity.
Look at how Mormon guys live, since they're the best example of still living the 'traditional lifestyle' but not being cloistered off like the Amish. Can you see MGTOWs doing that? I can't.

No-fault divorce is a relatively recent thing even here in America. We used to require cause, and it was extremely limited cause (adultery, abandonment, abuse, that sort of untenable thing). Ironically, one of the arguments against no-fault was that people would stop trying to build a life together and instead view the partner as someone who should be kept around only as long as he/she pleased them, then discarded.

You know, like how these guys think of women.

Mormons have to do a 2 year mission overseas. Could you imagine some of these dudes even leaving their man cave much less going to a country where learning another language is mandatory so you don't become a target for criminals?
 
They don't have to go overseas, I don't think (I've seen them on their missions near where I live, in the US) but yeah, a lot of them do. And a lot of those foreign countries have...GASP...slow internet!!!
