I reloaded my last save and beat the game again and I was able to get several trophies I was owed. Now I'm doing NG+ to get Markhor and Kerotan (if this even works) and the Tsuchinoko trophy isn't popping even with reloads. I also got the 100% camo to work and it worked with an actual camo and not stealth.

This seems like another instance of a woman getting successful because she's hot and then pulling the ladder up behind her when she gets old

Kojima is also comparable to Christopher Nolan in terms of storytelling and dialogue. You could say he's a big human bean ...for you
I agree in the sense that I wouldn't want either of them to make an actual James Bond movie. Everyone thinks it would be amazing, but if you think about it for half a second you know it would be shit.

Quiet was overrated, I didn't like her. The fetish scenes were weird and I didn't even use her that much as a buddy(she was useful when I did). The final mission of the game giving her some more character was decent, but too little too late. I would have rather had Chico as a mutant like you can see in the concept art, would have been pretty interesting to see him all grown up, maybe even blaming Snake for what happened to him.
The End is still my favorite sniper in the series. He's no-nonsense, photosynthesis didn't seem like a shallow excuse to strip him(see: Quiet) and the boss fight was really fun. The only reason I have any hope for Delta is because it might give us the promise of Open World MGS3, and because I want to see what the boss fight with The End will look like. Remember, in the interviews devs said that the fight could take hours and it had to be shortened because of that, not to mention the insane level interactivity the entire boss fight has(including being able to sneak up on The End and hold him up if you're stealthy enough)

These trophies are so fucking bugged. I got the Tsuchinoko trophy to finally pop but killing the End early didn't work with a dozen reloads. I saw someone on YT said you can try the other region versions to see if that works. They also suggested using the first save slot but I was able to get the Tsuchinoko to pop without using that. But my suggestion would be save before the area you're trying to get it because if you save within it, you're stuck with that roll and it'll never pop like that. If you're moving into a new area it'll give you a new roll every time it seems.

Would Hideo Kojima making a James Bond be better or worse than having Daniel Craig as the titular 007 character? Probably worse

He would just bring on his usual butt buddies of Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus. Norman probably gets cast as Bond and will have plenty of full frontal nudity scenes with explicit camera focus on his ass cheeks, and Del Toro will be cast as Q.

As a non-American, I always watched The Fury's death and thought who pronounces it 'ressbit'? I looked it up on Wiktionary and it is listed as the American pronunciation. Is that true? I always laughed at it but it turns out I've been the dumb one this whole time *sigh*

This wasn't a waste of time after all thinking it wouldn't give me the trophies. This was paired with the Markhor. Changing region to Euro works for some reason.

I just need the Pain, the Sorrow, healing radio, all hidden first person cutscenes and Foxhound rank and it's done.

IIRC, Kojima started expressing wanting to do open world MGS around the time he started developing MGS3. I think he even stated Vice City was what inspired this and why they had the Vice City joke in the MGS3 reveal trailer.

It's just sad that the culmination of those dreams ended up being such a wet fart. If he wanted to keep the Peace Walker thing going, it should have been more open "missions" like the modern Hitman games do it. Multiple options, multiple paths in a structured environment.

But, hey, what the fuck do I know. I'm not god like Kojima.

Think of how much cool and Kojima like craziness could be put in a proper open world MGS game. You could have random patrols and convoys between bases. Which could be ambushed by snake. They could make good on the promises of MGS4 and have different areas controlled by different factions that fight each other and snake could help either side. They could have different methods of inertion and different patrol routes based on time of day.

Instead we got a dead open world with cookie cutter repetitive mission design.

He had five years. This is the best he's capable of.

Dont get me wrong I am not one of those guys who blames everything on Konami. Quite the contrary there is something that clearly changed after MGS3 (maybe I will include MGS4 if im being generous). He went from nice replayable 10-15 hour games with very memorable moments to this grindy repetitive design of MGSV and Death Stranding. Did he just get old or did key members of his dev team leave?

Well, yes. But there are those that believe that it's just a coincidence, but there's a dramatic shift in everything when one guy left.

"He only wrote codecs."

You sure? He wrote Ghost Babel.

Given MGSV has Kojima's name in redundant mission credits several dozen times, I'm willing to bet the trilogy credits didn't tell the full story either.

Tomokazu Fukushima. Left after MGS3. Also a writer on the first 3 MGS games.
