Remaking MG 1+2 to fit the modern gameplay and visual astetic of the Solid games would have been a HUGE no brainier and would have made Konami big bank. Plus bring the series a more satisfying ending in terms of full circle ending.

Big Boss "going evil" was a meme perpetuated by fake leakers pre-release and even if that whole aspect of the game's theme was supposed to be a highlight, it's undercut entirely by the fact that you're playing a glorified body double of Big Boss for the entirety of V and that he never does anything TOO particularly heinous that isn't given some form of context or justification as for why.

The absolute worst thing the real Big Boss actually does is spurn his gay boyfriend Kaz by fucking off to make the REAL Outer Heaven/Zanzibar Land.
 
Not having coop was the biggest let down for me in MGSV(not counting how completely shit MGO3 was), I personally do love the gameplay and find the missions very fun to speedrun, but it could have been so much more especially in the bossfights aspect.
The coop was also the only reason I played Survive and those were also pretty underwhelming tbh, the game is alright overall tho.
I highly doubt it, but if they bring back the extra ops idea they scrapped for MGS3D and add coop I would buy Delta in an instant.
 
Anyone who says V's gameplay is bad never played MGO3.

I know some of you grognards (or people pretending to be grognards) will swear by MGO1 and 2, but 3 was/is seriously fun and underrated. And, far as I know, just about the only thing keeping it relatively dead at the moment is the fact that most people moved onto other games instead.

I feel like Venom Snake would be a better boyfriend than Big Boss; more thoughtful, less domestic-violency, probably cool features on the robot hand, smells like vape juice instead of stale cigar smoke.

Ocelot did Kaz a favor.

I wonder if Venom also remembers that time that Big Boss and Kaz had a naked, almost homoerotic fistfight in the Mother Base showers.

Which feels like a really weird thing to say until you remember much later on down the timeline Solid Snake and Ocelot having a homoerotic fistfight on top of Outer Haven.

Presumably Venom-as-medic was the one who had to pick splinters out of Kaz after Big Boss hit him with the bench, but yeah, the '70s were a wild time. At least Venom has a good excuse for why he doesn't remember most of them.

...It's kind of a theme, yeah. The 20th Century would have played out differently without Revolver Ocelot's unstoppable desire to avenge his mom and unquenchable thirst for rough trade.

I got no issues with scantily-clad women in muh vidya.
But the whole "breathes through her skin" thing? Lmao.

He just needs an excuse to write in his weird fetish of a bikini-clad woman rolling around in rainwater.
Quiet's inclusion literally affects nothing in the story. She's just there for booba. Sure, she's a useful companion, but D-Dog is better.

Ground zeroes is better than 5 because it achieves this. It still has the terrible movement though. Also mgsv's camera doesnt work indoors at all its a big problem in some areas of mgo.

I dont get why games have shoulder swapping but also have an aim mode mgs3/4 have a perfect camera why change to the same bullshit every modern game uses?
