What's the best way to recruit soldiers with decent skills? most of the random soldiers I find have an E rank in like everything.
 
I'm currently on the mission where you have to extract Malak from either Yakho Oboo or the palace ruins. I've died too many times for me to count because I'm too much of a GMP hoarder to request a resupply lol.

You can also drop supply crates on her head to capture her in 2 hits.

There's a battle rifle chambered in rubber bullets, I used that.

Check around the bases. You can sometimes get A and B ranks at guard posts, but your best bet would be at the bases. Careful though, because if you fuck up you'll have to decide whether to kill them or keep dodging bullets till you can get in close.
 
I just had the fight with Quiet. HOLY SHIT THAT CUTSCENE IN THE HELICOPTER.

SHE FUCKING HEADSHOTTED A PILOT IN A FIGHTER JET :o:o:o:o:o

I suggested once if any drawfags out there would be kind enough to make a "Kiwis Sans Frontiers" logo for my own Mother Base group. But so far no volunteers.

Anyway, yeah. I tried doing a side op that took me through the ruins, only to end up in a boss fight with Quiet. But since I would like to recruit her, I don't want to use lethal weapons. Yet, I've still got a long way to go before I can develop a tranquilizer sniper rifle. Or can I just use my regular one?

Edit: oh I saw the above responses.

Mark her with your INT-Scope, then as soon as you can, call in a supply drop directly on her icon. You'll take out her stamina in less than a minute if you're fast enough.

EDIT: And be sure to keep your fingers off any of the shooty buttons during the cutscene after that.
 
I didn't want to use lethal weapons on Quiet either, so I used the rubber bullet assault rifle and moved to her starting position and engaged in a 20 minute long sniper battle with nothing but iron sights. I got her like 5/6 of the way down and then had to start rushing because I had somewhere to be. I ended up dying, it was tragic. Went back today and used the supply drop. Box technology is really over powered.
Anyone else notice the pictures in his lab, including to one of baby Otacon?
 
I'm really surprised Hideo Kojima decided to put Tyce and his gang "Tha Skullz" in the game.
 
Tried to do a perfect stealth that was ruined by this one asshole I didn't see.

And then I realized I spent 4 hours on a single fucking mission.

I should set up a timer next time so I don't lose track of time.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. Minus the part about fucking sped girls, Skullface is ripe for comparisons to Tyce.

I think if you can just upload your own music onto the game, you could just play it during the boss battle. Though if it does require modding, another game that needs WHYTE REOVELEUTIAN modded in is Dark Souls, in the fight against Gravelord Nito. Maybe Marine Trained Teen for the Pinwheel fight.

Something interesting I noticed is that neither the pod nor Huey seemed to recognize Snake at first. I'm starting to wonder if Snake is actually Snake...
