Rossi International made firearms for a number of years and was for a large portion of their life a S&W clone maker, and a decent one at that. They were eventually bought by Taurus (prior to BrazTech) and continued to make inexpensive clones. So I talked to my gun enthusiast neighbor and he said Rossi doesnt make crap guns.
So is the Rossi gallery a crap gun or a decent budget gun?

the Rossi Gallery gun looks like a Winchester 61 clone, and if it's typical Rossi, will be functionally fine. manual actions are more forgiving of cost cutting than automatic actions in general as well. about the only thing i would wonder about is if it was decently accurate, or if they skimped on materials in some fashion (using alloy instead of steel for part of the bolt, et c). given standard velocity .22LR, i wouldn't expect any real issues in terms of safety.
the top comment was someone reporting his rifle was perfect. sounds like a QC issue rather than a design flaw or something. generally, out of the hundreds of Rossi (and Taurus and IMBEL and a few other smaller companies like ER Amantino) Rossi firearms i've handled, they are generally alright, and Taurus (who now owns Rossi) tends to do a good job with warranty work if needed. certain Taurus models are pretty bad though, but that seems to be a Taurus model-specific thing.
slings are shooting aids. if you aren't using a sling for stability, it almost doesn't matter how you attach it as long as it isn't going to snag on your gear, you maintain weapon control, and it's comfortable to carry. For two point slings on a mlok and magpul fixed carbine stock, where would the best placement?
I've seen lots of PEQ15s mounted in all sorts of configurations, so I suppose the milspec answer is "yes". My personal opinion is "whichever gets in the way least" because occluding your weapon sight is for suckers. Of course, top/bottom mounts can be required for slim storage, but it's a question you'll have to ask for your own situation (and answer with some experimentation.)Is it better to mount a laser light combo on the front side of the barrel or on top in front of the optic like a red dot sight?
Sometimes I lay down, sometimes I cry about it, other times both. How do you guys get bullets? They don't have them at Walmart anymore.
Luck when checking local stores. Sucks but that's what pandemic plus people panicking at the mere prospect of gun control does - gun control which doesn't have the votes to pass. How do you guys get bullets? They don't have them at Walmart anymore.

Personally? I prefer to walk straight up to them and give them a nice pie or a 12 of beer.So I talked to my gun enthusiast neighbor and he said Rossi doesnt make crap guns.

i have a old model 17 (no dash) from 1958 and they are great shooters and target pistols. very overbuilt too if you like hot .22LR like hyper velocity ammo (CCI Stingers, et c). a popular add on for many people for competitive target shooting is the Aristocrat sight rib with fiber optic front and rear adjustable sights. My Gunbroker order arrived; Smith & Wesson model 17-9:
