The thing is, you really don't need to do this anymore based on the judges ruling. Atfs argument during the case was basically "Well sure the NFA is no longer enforceable under congress's taxation power, but it IS enforceable under the interstate commerce clause." However the judge said interstate commerce isn't even at play, since the NFA was solely only ever designed to be a taxation law, and does not use interstate commerce powers at all, therefore now that it's not a tax, it's not a law.For fun I've been checking state laws and may have found the best. In 2023 Mississippi passed a law similar to Texas for homemade suppressors where if you make it entirely in the state and it never crosses state lines you're good... so long as it says "MADE IN MISSISSIPPI" somewhere on it.
The lack of a DOJ/ATF response in this case makes that more likely at least. In theory an unfriendly Congress could change the tax to literally any amount other than $0 and we would go right back to the NFA being in full effect, unless another judge rules the NFA unconstitutional under 2nd amendment grounds.
So you've got two options. Option 1. Buy a Scorpion, or a Kuna, or a Stribog or an MPX and find out that they're just not that great. Option 2. Save yourself a lot of time and money and just buy an MP5 clone of some variety or sell a kidney and buy an SP5. Most PCC's suck and there's a reason the MP5 is still around after all this time, it just works.Hypothetically, if the NFA stuff cools off and SBRs become legal, what would you guys recommend for a PCC SBR? Something I could throw in a backpack in the event of zombies or Canadians. I'm looking at either a Scorpion or a Kuna. Probably add a silencer in the future, but I want to figure out the gun first.

Same argument that is made for Glocks and AR-15s, it's the standard so don't deviate unless you want to be a special snowflake. What sucks about everything that isn't an MP5? I'm seriously asking.
If the GOA site implodes under the load another group that also receives relief from the injunction is the FPC's legal arm (not the parent FPC) who represented the non-silencershop plaintiff in the combined lawsuit.GOA's web site is barely hanging on right now![]()
The mp5 is the smg question solved. It handles recoil better than basically other pistol caliber long gun due to its roller delayed operating system, its lengthy time in service means almost all the kinks of the design have been worked out and solved (as much as they can be without changing it fundamentally). A well made mp5 or clone is just better when it comes to the reliability of operation and shooting experience of anything else out there. What sucks about everything that isn't an MP5? I'm seriously asking.
Not quite. In the PDW checklist to be competitive as a real option you have to hit certain wickets.Same argument that is made for Glocks and AR-15s, it's the standard so don't deviate unless you want to be a special snowflake.
The simplest way to view this ruling that SBR/SBS/Suppressors will now be regulated to the same standards as buying a stripped lower receiver. They are all just considered firearms, so 4473. If you were to make an SBR/SBS/Suppressor you would not be required to engrave it with your information as there is no requirement to do that if you make your own gun and are not an FFL. FFLs will still have to have their manufacturer engravings on SBR/SBS/Suppressors, since that is a requirement for FFLs when they manufacture a firearm. They still have to follow the GCA, which I believe is just the standard background check?
My guess is the ATF will not appeal (IMO they would have already done so) but will lag issuing guidance causing a massive shit storm. (IE, do suppressors still need NFA engravings/Makers marks?)
This ruling creates so many questions, and I've already ordered 20 solvent traps from ping ping so hopefully everything plays out.
Not gonna try to tell you what to do, but I've had nothing but giggles from my CMMG Dissent Mk4 with a Hux Flow 9K:Hypothetically, if the NFA stuff cools off and SBRs become legal, what would you guys recommend for a PCC SBR? I personally wouldn't do anything for at least a month or twoMe big dumb dumb, does this mean I can put a stock on my "pistol"?
I'm a tourist and also retarded, could you explain what this language-strip thing is to non-Americans? What is this bill?Andrew Clyde, The representative that put the language stripping the $200 Tax from SBR's, SBS's and Suppressors into the 2025 Big Beautiful Bill, has publicly posted that he has received confirmation that the Trump DOJ will NOT Appeal the decision, meaning that at 12:01 CDT, the Jensen Decision will go into effect

For over 90 years you have had to register a suppressor with the NFA, among other items. A combination of Congress zeroing out the 200$ tax and a recent court ruling has made it unconstitutional for the items set to zero, since it was a tax law, and not under the commerce clause.I'm a tourist and also retarded, could you explain what this language-strip thing is to non-Americans? What is this bill?
once this happens it'll be such a clusterfuck of confusion and lawsuits that it'll have to be expanded nationwide fairly quick or shut down.I personally wouldn't do anything for at least a month or two
