M9 surplus when
I'll be honest I don't like the way those feel, they shoot fine enough it's just not a gun that fits my hand well. But it's crazy as I'm a collector first, I guess I need one and there will be a time sooner than later I'll be snagging one from CMP or something.
Also I kinda want a g1 glock 17, not to carry but to collect. It's wild to think that's a collectors gun, the birth of the wonder 9s (debatable but least poly ones)

More range time with the 300 black out. I do think I want to change some stuff on it, it's meant to be a cheap backpack gun but, I still think worth a diff muzzle brake. Not sure on sights, right now I'm running a Vortex Spark AR red dot no buis etc. I want something very flat profile. Maybe just give into the glock pistol sight mod or be lame and get some MBUS.

I can't tell you how pumped I am if we lose the NFA or any part of it. Like I said before, I'll be happy to lose the 2k+ of stamps to get our right back.

On an unrelated but still gun topic, who would you all go for custom wood grips?

Why wait?

Even if the ATF/DOJ doesn't appeal the 5th Circuit ruling, it's going to take a while for the NFA stuff to make its way through the courts to result in a nationwide ruling and official ATF guidance for manufacturers and dealers before you'll be able to just walk into a shop and buy a suppressor over the counter or swap out a brace for a stock (legally, anyway), so AR "pistols" and the like aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Also, if I had to guess, the ATF is going to try to make sure you'll have to at least fill out a 4473 to buy a suppressor.

Suppressors are firearms you already do a 4473 for them

If I was gonna get a CMP surp 1911 what grade would be the best to choose? It seems like no matter what you pick its sort of a crap shoot.

how long till manufacturers start selling and making more sbrs?
Smith & Wesson is already marketing actual SBRs alongside the pistol variant which is a good sign.
Looking at getting an S&W Model 36, nickel plated would be cool. Is under 700 realistic or am I just getting hosed unless I buy some beat thing from 1970?
Nickel plating, if it's not fucked up, will probably cost more otherwise the blued Chief's Special is usually under 700 used.

Cutting the price to something reasonable will absolutely fix that.

$1300 for a service grade clapped 1911 is retarded, I don't care where it came from.
I'd rather it be overpriced from the CMP itself and treasured for what it is than see boomers reselling them on Gunbroker or at the gun show for the same price thousands of dollars more.

What is the purpose of a suppressor like that? To be both low back pressure and really really quiet?
It was first seen for Project Hunter in the UK, assuming it was developed specifically for that program it's goal waa then to achieve great sound and flash performance with a reduced OAL in order to meet stringent OAL requirements
I've often wondered why American manufacturers haven't tried more materials for shotgun hulls, like steel or even reintroducing brass hulls. Possibly even attempt to make more high performance shotgun loads. I know the shells designed for the CAWS program were pretty hot for a shotgun load.

Speaking of PSD, I do need to get mine registered as an SBR so I can get the stock for it.
Expensive, Expensive to R&D, More expensive to make. Some guns might straight up not work with them.

I’d the dead faggot a “settler”? If so that opens up the scope a lot more.
Yeah, he was actually a leader of a band of goons who roll around the West Bank acting like Kosher Niggers.

First look at the Geissele HICAR, launches 77gr SMK at 2700fps out of an 11.5. Full Ambi, steel cam path rail in the Upper, new rail lock up. Curious to see what the bolt is like or if it's just their relatively normal forged Enhanced Bolt

Boomers are starting to shuffle off this mortal coil. They won't be $1500+ for long.

Not to powerlevel or anything, but I'm not really in the market for a CMP 1911, as how its going I'll probably get to rescue the M1911 from California that my Grandfather bought as surplus in the '50s from my uncle when he passes on, as all of his kids have no use for it.

It's nothing terribly special, its a Colt M1911 (mfg 1918) that had been re-arsenaled by Rock Island Armory (the real one) so it was parkerized and now wears A1 bakelite grips. Maybe 1k rounds through it or less its whole life, I don't think it was shot very much.

Hopefully I can get it for less than the 3k it would now go for, holy shit.

Gonna be funny when cops ask for tax stamp paperwork and people whip out their GOA/NRA membership cards and go "um akshually i don't need to do that anymore," just to get arrested for having an illegal SBRs.

I have never heard of someone getting arrested for a SBR or SBS alone. it's always a charged tacked on after the real reason for arrest.

Well yeah, the BATFE doesn’t knock on people’s houses for gun inspection day unless you’re already wrapped up in dirty shit and have a CI snitching on you.

This is also true for almost all felon in possession charges too.

Cycling shouldn’t be to different. All designs are based on the unfolded/unrolled length of the shells. Pressure testing is going to be the kicker as everything is currently designed to test soft case material like plastic or paper. Brass requires an entirely different pressure test setup.

I would love to see one piece plastic hulls like the old Activ hull make a comeback.
