I didn't watch a ton of his content, but what I did watch I found interesting. Hopefully he can rest in peace, the cancer he had is a bitch and a half.
That's so cool. I always liked the WA2000. As much as I'm a fan of Heckler & Koch, the WA2000 is way, way more badass than the PSG-1. Always really liked those sniper rifles Mauser made back in the late 80s-mid 90s. Something like the SR93 and SR97 or something. Basically the same rifle, but one had a nearly full length handguard that stopped like two inches back from the muzzle and a whole-hand/knuckle bow style trigger guard kinda like an AUG, and the other one had a shorter standard length handguard and (I think) a more traditional single-finger trigger guard. I believe they were originally designed to compete in the selection process for some country's new sniper rifle. Might have been West Germany, or possibly could have been the UK in the same competition which resulted in the Brits selecting the Accuracy International rifle. Been a long time since I looked into it, so my memory about it is a bit fuzzy, but I remember them being a very high quality rifle (duh, it's Mauser), and them being available for a short time on the civilian market on a special order basis, so them being pretty rare much like the WA2000.
