The past few days have been the first time I've ever tried to use GunBroker. Jesus Christ that web site is an abomination. When does this auction end? Countdown timer? Never heard of it. Just mash F5 repeatedly. They couldn't find a high school kid to fix that place? /rant
it's pretty bad. I sell on there because you generally can get a better price. but for buying i use guns international. no auction non-sense, just the price the seller wants. very clear and despite looking like a site from 2010, it is very easy to navigate and organized.

There's a NOS part I really want that seems to only be available there but have lost count of the ways I'm about to be scammed trying to win it. It almost looks like it was built for straw-buying tricks.

The hate on PCCs does not make a lick of sense to me. Sure, you probably wouldn't want a civilian PCC if you're going into the next civil war, but if you're just worried about putting down some mud monkeys breaking in to rape your wife, then it will do the job just fine.

Sure. But a Unicylce might be better then walking but its hardly a great tool for taking a trip to the store.

Blowback PPCs:
>Big/unconcealable
>Don't suppress well
>Generally rapid development cycle with poor/cheap manufactoring
>Very little gained in terminal ballistics vs handgun
>Falls far short in terminal ballostics of SBR
>Often propriatary parts
>Low rate of fire
>Bad recoil impulse

Vs say the MP5 which does it right
>Gas operated roller delayed
>High rate of fire
>low recoil impulse
>suppresses well
>excellent quality parta
>long in depth development time
>established aftermarket

You need to do a lot of things very well and right before you have any sort of edge or reason to take one over a Mk18.

The main ones I hear are normally
1. cheaper ammo
2. less recoil
3. cheaper gun (in some cases)
People don't really need after market as long as it takes glock mags and fires 9mm, they'll toss a red dot and a light on it and call it good.

If it doesn't say Heckler & Koch on it, then it isn't a real MP5K. Its a cheap knock-off.
I mean yeah true tbh. But the clones aren't bad so long as they're military contract guns or at minimum the parts are. I have a c93 ( Malaysian contract) G3 ( Portuguese contract) and that cope mp5k. Just have to QC the clones but they're solid if you wanna scratch an itch. I almost never see people actually shooting hk91/33s or SP5s, they're mostly safe queens.

And that is all very much reasonable as a sales pitch or a buyer for plinking. I can appreciate that, but it isn't a great buy for any sort of tactical/defensive application usually.

xm57e.PNG

For all the 3D print nerds the XM5.7 has officially released. Uses a 3DP90 barrel. A complete hardware kit can be purchased here for $450 if you go for a barrel, pre-poured bolt, mag conversion, and grenade launcher hardware. I am building one

Concerning ammo, yes, pistol ball ammo for 9mm is cheaper than .223/5.56. Depending on your PCC a self-defense round may have feed issues like with the colt AR-9 style PCCs have. If the feed ramp is fairly long, a hollow point has the potential to jam the carbine while being loaded, especially if gets dirty or the ramp wears out from consistent use.

Generally if takes glock mags, it could be reliable but hard to conceal because most of them are direct blowback buffer tube. I'll take a 11.5 SBR over any smaller length PCC in any use case. Yes the backpack PDW use case exists but if things are so bad where I need bring a PCC in backpack while in public, then I'm staying home.
