Fwiw even Cape Buffalo can be easily killed with .375 rounds, just aim for the vital organs and you're set. There's also over 100 years of experience in making .375 projectiles kill very deadly and tough things. If you're not married to the suppressor thing, a .375 H&H or .375 Ruger will just stomp the shit out of everything short of elephant and cape buff while still being tame enough for most shooters. good for deer too, not much meat damage with a .375.
.375 Dangerous game ammo was used for it's armor piercing qualities in the first and second world wars too. a lot of dangerous game projectiles have steel cores or steel jackets covered by a secondary copper jacket. fun fact.
if you get a broadside shot that's correct. Often that isn't available, which is why the .416 rigby, 404 jeff, 505 gibbs et cetera are still popular along with the .470, .500, .577 nitro. all the mentioned cartridges can achieve full penetration of a cape buff at all angles and penetrate a elephant's skull frontally (most elephants are shot from the ground, often from the front as the animal will present the tusks to the hunter as a defense or bluff charge).Fwiw even Cape Buffalo can be easily killed with .375 rounds, just aim for the vital organs and you're set.
Hell, a .375 to the brain will also kill an elephant.
Billet?i've only just now discovered this but a PDW chassis for the RXM is out and available. it's pretty neat but i'm not in any rush to go and order one now
Unless it's got an integral silenced barrel, there is no reason to buy this. I would go so far as to say the only reason to have something like this is that you're a bored machinist who decided to whip up a suppressed single shot 9mm on his break, just because you could.View attachment 9109267
Dark Mountain Stowaway 9mm
Did you ever want a single-shot 9x19 pistol that's the size of a barrel-less AR15? Well, have I got the gun for you!
By the way, it's $400 and you don't get sights or anything. There's also no regulatory differences, so it's not better than a 9mm handgun in any way.
