Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection coming next year.

Oh this is cool. I actually haven’t picked up the ZX games yet, so this is probably a good opportunity for me to start doing so. They’re probably waiting for the next Direct to drop so they can announce the Switch version properly.

It’s only a matter of time, really, before essentially the entire franchise is available on modern platforms. Though if I could hazard a guess, they’ll probably do the RPGs before tackling the Legends series.

I'm surprised they're not doing Battle Network Legacy Collection. Zero was way too hard for me too.

The Megaman Zero games can truly only be enjoyed by the most elite of gamers.

No but actually, the Zero game are phenomenal and consistently high quality. If they prove to be to difficult, both the DS Collection and the Z/ZX Collections feature an Easy Scenario mode that will more easily introduce you to those games. I highly recommend either that, or just pure war of attrition, the games are infinitely more fantastic the better you are at playing them.

And besides some spikes in MMZ4, they get easier as well.

My problem with the eas scenario is that it goes a bit too far by giving you all the elves. I would’ve been fine if it simply buffed your attack and defense

YES

YESYESYESYESYES

I tried Mega Man Zero 1, but it's way too fucking hard, even for a Mega Man game. I just didn't find it very fun, and it discouraged me from trying the rest of the series.
It's pretty much THE hardest mega man game in the entire series, but while the sequels are still pretty hard, they're nowhere near as hard as MMZ1.

But even then, the Mega Man games as a whole have this thing for making you get better without even realizing it. Just keep trying, you'll find your groove, etc.

On the topic of zero/zx if you had to pick a favorite track from the games which would it be. I'd say either departure or Esperanto

Personally I don't think it gets much better than this:

Close second:

This one gets an honorable mention because when I first listened to it, I thought it was a badass fight theme against Model ZX. I was disappointed to find out it was just a henshin cutscene:

Was not a huge fan of the Zero series, even if Zero was my favorite... I want a remastered Command Mission.

But I might try it. I would try Dive but...mobile.

There was some issue about a graphic in Legends 1 that was copyrighted or something, and changing it would've violated PlayStation's policy of keeping the original games intact, so until Capcom resolves that with Sony or just releases it elsewhere, a Legends rerelease is fucked. I'd love one, though. Legends 1 is a childhood favorite. One of my top 5 Christmas gifts.

I'm just gonna say the X series is the best series.

X9 when?

Who wants to bet money on X9 coming out first before Corrupted?

Don’t want an X9 because it’d be a bit of a clusterfuck with the Cyber-Elf shit, what about an X0 that tells us about Zero’s past and what shit was like prior to day of Sigma and have day of Sigma as its final levels
I doubt we would get much of Zero's past since it seems to be in bits and pieces anyway. We just know he's a Wily Bot that was meant to end it all. I would like more meat on his past and just...the inbetween of Megaman's era and X's era since that seems to be a huge blur too.

I'm not a big fan of the cyberelf thing as I'm not even a fan of the MMZ games (I actually follow Megaman X Command Mission more... and I look at that as the 100 years future over the MMZ games)

I think I'd be more game for an X series reboot. Still 2D and sprite based all that, but both the visuals and the mechanics refined across the six games. Some story and character retelling would be interesting too, along the lines of what MHX tried to kick off, but this time make X less wishy-washy and diffident. Some angst and doubt about your place as a robo-policeman, sure, but grow up a bit and go somewhere with it. Maybe even create a divergence at some point, where you fight new enemies or go to a different place on the map. There's room before the events of Zero to retell the events of the Giga Missions card game even, with or without recycling Mavericks.

I agree. I like that they showcase X with a lot more Z-saber competence than either X3 or X6, and gave Zero a minigun.

I am still feel robbed for that cancellation of Mega Man Legends 3 and Universe, I really wanted to play as bad box art Mega Man.
