Barely anyone actually rolls for coomerbait and most fans tend to bitch about even the slightest bit of suggestiveness to character reveals. All that the playerbase mostly cares about is the cool redesigns or alts of the male cast.

You're only perusing the English fanbase then, who are in fact majority pissed about it.

The Japanese fanbase appears to be more split, especially on Twitter.

English-speaking, at least. I'm pretty sure a lot of those dudes are at least Portuguese, or some other vague ESL, given a lot of their lackluster degree of literacy.

A split's still a split, though. And Rockman coomers tend to be a weird lot anyway. Not exactly representative of the greater playerbase.

Oh yeah, the LATAM types are weird, and I can't tell if it's good weird. You can always tell when you're talking to one. I'm not sure how to put it.

Listen, I would love to believe you on the second point. It just doesn't jive with my experience. I mean, are you aware for example that a recent licensed publication from UDON called the Maverick Hunter Field Guide was written by a longtime husband-and-wife fan team, where the wife does shit like post about their porn fanfic (not necessarily about MM, though they did do one where she wrote about herself dating Zero if memory serves) on their Twitter?

Among other, far more eclectic things that are difficult to accurately categorize. A surprising number of them fancy themselves artists as well, except their talent at art is sorely lacking most of the time. It's usually the sort of shit you'd see out of Sonic autists and such.
 
I'm still shocked they got Andrew Francis back to voice Megaman. What a delightful surprise.

I still remember first time I played 2 in middle school. Shit was fucking dark. Fuckin GOSPEL trying to murder people and stuff....damn.

speaking of voices i *really* liked lumine's in x8, the rest of the game? not so much, still my boner was disappointed after noticing that lumine has a usb cable instead of a usb port.

also on command mission for some reason robots breathe as i'm watching the cutscenes, even X which is kind of odd since he was made by light and was meant to be like a upgrade for regular old megaman and not a robotic human, megaman himself is supposed to be a easier to interact robot when compared to mechaniloids, it's very funny how a fuckton of reploids call X and Zero young when both niggers are the oldest of them all with X being the base of all reploids minus light's perfection due to Dr.Cain's ability to copy/paste plus some of X's parts being unscannable and zero only exists because he's supposed to be x's vegita equivalent with the same "infinite power" bullshit excuse because wily somehow knew light would make X and somehow can make zero exactly like X but with nipple gems, Zero/Advent series was the worst by trying to make humans important when they always were second place and unimportant.

Do they? I've never heard of that.

Last I checked, Megaman and Sonic fans have some kind of accord, especially since that one crossover comic series was made.
 
Gravemind is correct. There is a large amount of crossover between Mega Man and Sonic fans.

I think what Seviper is referring to is that some Mega Man fans see the Sonic fandom as particularly degenerate and do not want to be associated with them. It's similar to how there are Mega Man fans who don't want to be associated with IntiCreates and some of their stuff due to associations with scum who are into lolicon.

However, both sections appear to be a minority.

ViA is a close second behind Erato, I feel. Horrible color scheme for a palette swap. If they're gonna do it, at least make the colors look good together; his skin tone is a terrible shade of blue given everything else.

The global version of X Dive just launched an art contest to mark the end of the year. The prizes are whatever ingame stuff.
