Is it just me or has McD's gotten hella expensive in the recent years? For most of my life it was the place specifically to eat when you were poor or broke, but now I go and see 4-piece McNuggets for like $2 or some shit, and a Quarter Pounder is like $6. When did this happen?

When they delusionally thought that they could be artisanal.

Horrifically, they're still slammed for no goddamn reason. It's why I usually just get burgers anywhere else when I want them; only getting them when I'm just in the area.

If you just need calories for day, the breakfest menu, get the BIG BREAKFAST, and you can just make a McMuffen out of it and you get pancakes and hash brown.

You will die if you do this more then 3 times in your life, so use with caution.

Nuggets and their chicken sandwiches are pretty good. Milkshakes are nice; but I can't drink them anymore. Did a detox thing and stopped fast food for like three months, now the McMilkshake tastes like sugar syrup death. Only one I can even keep down is the vanilla.

It's probably a combination of inflation, ingredient sourcing/competition, and making up for having to pay employees $15 wages.

And if you get an actual full dinner you have enough for two or even three meals from the ridiculous quantities of leftovers. And if you do eat it all in one go like a fat pig, it's basically your one meal for the day.

Yes, and it really defeats the purpose of eating there other than if I really have a specific craving for something from McDonalds. There was once a time I could order a hamburger and a hot n spicy with fries for like 3 bucks. You’d combine the two burgers into a super burger that was amazing and gross all at the same time. I’ve heard this atrocity go by many names, but we referred to it locally as a McGangbang back in the day.

And if you do eat it all in one go like a fat pig, it's basically your one meal for the day.

Where I am in Canada we'd call it that too. It was combining a Junior Chicken sandwich and a Cheeseburger sandwich (or McDouble if you're feeling like a little extra). Great shit.

But anyways, I really like the quarter pounder with cheese. I always take off the mustard and pickles and it makes a huge difference in taste.

Yeah it's not too bad with the good deals. The buy one quarter pounder get the second free / for $1. And the $1 fries. Thing is I need to stop being fat. I used to get two mcdoubles for $2 when I worked next to a mcdonalds, it's a decently healthy lunch. but now it's like $4.25 for that.

I'm not going to eat two quarter pounders. A double quarter pounder maybe. But there's never a deal for that. Actually had Spicy McNuggets with Mighty Hot Sauce today. It isn't really Buffalo sauce. It's fairly thick and somewhat sweet. And reasonably hot. It's hotter than that weak ass Fire sauce from Taco Bell. And that's my McDonald's for the month.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one noticing the price hike, i thought i was losing my mind. People keep saying muh minimum wage but I didn't see a price hike until Corona hit. Like all other businesses taking advantage of the virus Mcdonalds is just using it as an excuse to scalp people. Bastards are probably making a killing right now with all the people getting takeout, especially since like half the menu items are unavailable.

You know shit is fucked when your friendly neighborhood Chinamen are offering a more affordable deal than the local McDonalds. The place I favor around here is locally owned by one family and they haven't had a single price hike throughout this whole ordeal while just about all of the chain restaurants are 20-30% more expensive than they used to be.

I'd say its got a lot more kick than typical buffalo sauce, I actually compared them. The Mighty Sauce also has a sweet undertone that gives it a distinct strong smell. Usually I'm using all the sauce in the packet, but the mighty sauce, I use just a little because its pretty potent.

Tried the new Chicken Sandwich today, as they are clearly trying to rip off Popeyes.
They serve it in the same style baggie.

Last time I had Popeyes, it was 3.99. Mcdonalds wants 4.19 for their basic, another 20-30 cents for spicy and they have something called "Deluxe" which I couldn't figure out the point of. It costs even more.

I went with the spicy. The sauce is the same, has pickles and its a pretty good sandwich. However the actual chicken piece is half the size of Popeyes, and there isn't a lot of crumbly fried bits on the edges.

A poor imitation, that still costs more somehow. Its a fine sandwich all the same, but I'd never get it again.

Apparently they are sold out of Mighty Sauce at my location, which is surprising. I didn't think people would like it that much.

My usual comparison of any McDicks chicken sandwich is more or less, is this worth four times more than the McChicken? It usually isn't.

I went to McDonald's today and got a Filet-O-Fish combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. I was eating it in my vehicle in the parking lot and listening to an audiobook when I glanced up and saw the McDonald's worker I ordered outside having a cigarette.
She waved at me and I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back inside and I could eat in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers outside of the McDonald's restaurant or drive through, but that is another story.

I went to McDonald's for dinner tonight and got a McChicken combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. As I was driving to the second window the same girl was still working. She was acting somewhat obsequious and attempting small talk when she asked, 'why don't you come eat inside instead of in the parking lot where it is cold'.

That really bothered me for many reasons. First of all, I don't want my routine or actions to be tracked by a fast food employee. Secondly, she should not try to tell me how I should live my life. I do not want to eat inside because I find it less comfortable and would much rather be inside my vehicle listening to an audiobook and enjoying myself and my privacy.

Overall, I think it was very unprofessional to bring this up. I should have a clean slate with each drive through visit, not have to get the third degree because I committed some sort of faux pas. Which I don't think I did, because I often see people eating in fast food parking lots. How does she know I am not busy going to work or somewhere in a rush?

How do you feel about eating in your vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant versus eating inside the restaurant?
