So it turns out that Rolling Stone's star reporter Matt Taibbi had a history of sexually harassing employees while he ran an English-language alt-weekly in Moscow during the 90s. This video is a pretty good summary (the relevant part starts at 1:55:00 and goes on for about 13 minutes)

It's insane that this book has been around for so long and this is the first time that this has hurt the mainstream. For what it's worth, Ames was far worse, admitting to stuff like fucking a drunk 15 year old and forcing his girlfriend to get an abortion under pain of death. Both Taibbi and Ames are claiming that the Exile was satire and that the sexual harassment didn't really happen.

NOTE: Taibbi had absolutely nothing to do with that campus rape report with Jackie's debunked story, but Rolling Stone did rehire him around the time it ran.

2. When it first came out, Matt basically no sold it except to point out that the people spewing these stories are the same fuckers who want him dead because he broke free from the anti-life equation and was calling out left wing hypocrisy and scandals and the irreversible damage Trump Derangement Syndrome had done to the left all together

He doesn't really do that anymore. He did it for a short time to gain some cred so he could "but" everything for them.

Of course [some crime done by a Democrat or journalist or basically any member of the professional class who isn't a Republican] is wrong, fellow honest men and dissidents, but [Trump said he doesn't care about it so anybody else who cares about it is the real hypocrite].

And such. Literal apologist. Yesterday for Don Lemon, today for Epstein, tomorrow for whoever comes up.

Matt is so completely indentured to Walter Kim it's not even funny. These days he fancies himself a man of letters (bro your letters are typos now. You fired your editors and now it reads like you have a concussion); Kim’s sending him Great American Novels like he’s in AP English.

Kim being a novelist is somehow proof he understands government "narratives". We’ve fully replaced journalists with Entertainers.
