If you look at RCP Trump's clearly falling across the board. The only poll that shows him winning is the LA Times tracking poll (which basically just calls the same group of people over and over again and is a piss poor reflection of reality, something that's been proven multiple times).NBC and the WSJ put Clinton ahead by 14 points, which is fairly incredible if accurate. This close to election day he should not be in that position. He basically needs something catastrophically bad to happen to Clinton or his chances are pretty much nil. And if Clinton's proven anything it's that she's good at deflecting controversy.

Trump used up what was left of his ammo at the debate last night. Consensus in the media from what I can gather is that last night probably isn't going to change things much poll wise. The only people who are going to be won over by Trump screaming that Bill Clinton is a rapist/Benghazi/whatever are already voting for Trump. Clinton did come off..well, "sane", I guess, but like Trump I don't think she really did much to win anybody over. However her ignoring all those personal attacks (while grinning like an idiot) will in the big picture probably work in her favor. If Trump was trying to bait her he failed. Not only that it was obvious what he was doing and most voters probably aren't going to exactly "love" the thought of electing a man who uses sexual assault survivors (well, supposedly anyway) as political props in a Jerry Springer esque reality show. If he's banking on character assassination to get him into the white house he's going to be disappointed. People have been trying that tactic on the Clintons for 30 years and it always comes back and bites them in the ass.

Eh I don't buy the 14 point thing, seems too much of an outlier IMO.

A little off topic, but I keep reading how the Republicans are afraid of losing Congress. Personally I don't think they'll keep congress regardless of who wins. It's gonna go to the Dems this election. However I do think the Republicans will make strong gains next election season.

We know that'll be true, knowing how the Obama years went when the Dems had damn near full dominance (except not of the House. I still don't see things being any different here.).
 
There's been another trump leak and its pretty much nothing. He made negative observations about a girls skin. So what? He's an asshole but nobody will care about this.

It's the most recent one, which is why I bring it up. Other polls from around the same period show Clinton up by 5-7 points. In any case even if it is an outlier, it's an outlier that's very existence speaks volumes about the state of the Trump campaign.

I don't know if the republicans are going to lose congress or not, but those races are close enough and Trump is toxic enough that they're obviously terrified of the prospect.

The Trump leaks are pretty much revealing either trivial or immature shit that doesn't really affect a presidential policy.

The Hillary leaks are some serious allegations that will end up affecting some of her policies in office. Like really? You got that quote from a movie about Lincoln?

The problem is, the allegations against Hillary don't stick. Like that shit she said about calling in a drone strike on Assange. Any normal candidate would be guaranteed a loss right there but not Hillary.

Most of her supporters are pretty hardened to it because of her husband and the fact that she has a vagina. Otherwise, its the same repeated talking points about children, Russia, experience and that dang, dirty Alt-Right.
