Donald Trump, like any populist, will say and do anything to ensure that he gets power. Trump isn't going to turn America into the Fourth Reich, he's doing all of this solely so that, when he's dead, he gets to have the title 'Former President of the United States' next to his name.

This is Trump's biggest ego trip of all time, and somehow he's managed to make people buy into the idea that he's some sort of revolutionary figure who's going to change America. Bullshit, he's a man with money running a country built on money who's Congress is run entirely by money. There'll be no change under a Trump premiership, nor will there be change under a Clinton premiership.

Trump combines the best attitude with the worst competency. Hillary has both the worst attitude, and the worst competency.

You know if Hillary wins then we're getting four more years of Obamanomics. Obama has been a staggering, colossal, monumental failure with the economy and Democrats like to tout his millions of minimum-wage paper hat jobs as reducing the unemployment rate. Hillary will basically continue our swirl down the drain; she's said explicitly that she endorses much of what Obama did.

Doc Thompson compared this to having a hundred dollars and deciding whether or not you're going to burn it, or blow it all on lottery tickets. Both are pretty fucking stupid to do. Hillary is burning the hundred dollars; if we wins, we know we're getting the shitty, poor, and sensitive country we have today. But Trump is the lottery tickets. Trump says questionable things like wanting to "print the money", but his nationalist, un-empathetic attitude that holds Western people as the superior race deserving of the spoils is top-notch. Am I willing to chance more QE for the decimation of inferior cultures economically and militarily? Maybe. Nobody else has openly committed themselves to stomping our boots on the undeserving non-Western people of the world. It's a terrific message and one that brings us unity within the country, something that Obama's divisive rhethoric has not brought us. Trump isn't afraid to say we're in charge, we make the rules, and lots of non-Western races will suffer dearly to uphold this status quo. That's American superiority, and I'm proud to endorse it.

With Hillary, you lose. Four more years of apologies for being superior, and dogwhistled admissions that Muslim, Mexican, and Chinese cultures are superior to ours.

It's a pretty solid chance he's not going to fix anything, but hey, he might.

I concede the racist point (although I would argue the direction of his Mexican and Islamic discussion tends to be rather negative on the whole; they're not races, so you're technically right), but I think your reversal misses one point--it puts the opinion on the judge, not the judged. There's no indication that Curiel particularly dislikes Trump. An openly biased judge should not be deciding a case. However, if they switched judges from Judge Curiel to a Muslim judge? Trump would argue bias there. A woman? He'd probably say she'd be biased from everything in this ad.

Nothing Trump has said is racist, but it appears racist to the extremely sensitive culture we've brought up over four decades. For example, calling illegal immigrants rapists and drug dealers is "racist toward Mexicans". It doesn't even make sense when you break down their allegations.

No, I realize that Trump has supporters and that he's not "drunk on hate". I was actually speaking to one a few weeks back. His voting issue was jobs. As he put it, Trump has created jobs. Sanders and Clinton have not created a single one nor "worked a real job a day in their lives". And I respect him for that. I have my set of issues, he has his.
I just don't like how people brush off what he says. Because his beliefs don't apparently reflect that. But if it's not true, than what does he believe in?

He's an anti-globalist pro-American capitalist. That's what it boils down to. Anything he mentions ("we need to take out their families" / "I'd bring back a hell of a lot more worse than waterboarding") are a reflection of that. I think of a lot of ways he's uncertain what needs to be done precisely to accomplish what he wants, and what he says is what he would be willing to do if he thought it would actually help. More than anything else, he comes across as genuine and well intentioned and when surrounded by the right people he will use his robustness to adapt and provide based on that new information.

If that seems really iffy, it kind of is. I'm trusting him to do the right thing, despite not agreeing with him a 100%. That's because he's sold me on character and intention more than anything else.

What I do understand more than Donald Trump is Hillary Clinton. I know who Hillary Clinton is and I know I would do anything, anything to avoid having this absolute monster in any position of power ever again. She, Obama, and Dick Cheney should all share a cell.

I don't like her, either. But my proverb is better the evil you know in the system in the system it's never worked great in (another few years of Obama? There are actually worse things) than the questionably-moral, questionable ideas which you don't know in a system which will do who-knows-what.

I don't want either of them to be president, I'm not voting for them and I sure as shit won't support them. I have personal hang ups with both of them conflicting with my faith, it makes it impossible to honestly like either of them, or anyone who has run in living memory. We all have our differences of opinions, and that makes us stronger that we can actually discuss it instead of dogpiling and dragging the thread out in the open for all to see us fling our shit at each other. I love you all a bit more because of this discussion, even if I think some of us have batshit ideas, because I know some of them think my ideas are batshit, and that's OK.
