If he runs with the (R) next to his name then he's literally a Republican regardless of what that may mean to the party brass.

Yeah thanks, I know who Cassandra is, and even if I didn't, I am capable of using Wikipedia. What I don't get is what that metaphor actually meant. Is he saying that even if he's wrong and I'm right, he won't acknowledge it unless I have magical prophecy powers? If so I got to congratulate him, that's a level of hubris that, while not exactly unprecedented, is rarely presented with such lack of self-consciousness.

No. What I'm saying is nobody's been right in this election cycle aside from the people who predicted the worst possible outcome and weren't listened to. That includes me. So now I'm saying "screw everything" and assuming the Cassandras are on to something.

If it comes down to Billary v. Drumpf I'll do anything possible to avoid voting for Hillary. Other than not voting for Hillary if it would make a difference.

And I hate Hillary more than most Democrats. The rest of us will vote for Hillary without even thinking of it. Not joking.

Are there some joke candidates a la Vermin Supreme running? If I'd be an American, I'd at the very least seriously contemplate voting for such a candidate with the condition the Dems AND the Reps are in.

Vermin Supreme was only on the primary ballot in New Hampshire. Joke candidates almost never have the support or commitment to make it to the general ballot.

Heh, I don't want to vote for Vermin Supreme because I don't agree with his politics. (Not to say anything about other third party (or joke) candidates.)
