Mass Effect Legendary Edition - it's pretty gud

I've been playing ME:LE for the last couple days and it's pretty damn good. I'm constantly reminded of how buggy the base game was when it was released. Like the Feros skybridge area (mako zone) was completely unplayable due to freezes until like the third patch. Loading times are great on a ssd.

I'm playing on a 3440 x 1440 display and it's buttery smooth with an outdated graphics card.

Only thing I don't like is that I had to sign-in to Origin even though I got it on Steam.
 
Does it have multiplayer yet? If no, then my answer remains "pass".

You want to talk bugs, though? I have never gone through Noveria without encountering at least one game-breaking bug.

I had zero bugs in Noveria.
 
ME:1 is a piece of shit with unbalanced RPG mechanics. 2 and 3 are excellent FPSs but the snowflakes got triggered over the bullshit ending of 3. The true ending of 3 were the crew made along the way and not the colored explosion.
 
They took away Miranda's sweet sweet bootay and covered up Liara. Fuck 'em all with Wrex's helmet.

ME1 was very bullet-sponge-y and heavy on the RPG-shooter mechanics; they lowered the TTK in the sequels to draw in more COD kiddies, and it worked like a charm. 2 and 3 were less CRPGs and more action games with RPG mechanics.

I liked the writing in ME2 the best. Yes, it was darker ‘n’ edgier than ME1, but the Renegade Shep’s assholeish one-liners were funny as fuck.

I finished it a few weeks ago. Kinda surprised they didn’t fix certain bugs and also changed some expressions for the worse (ex: the little smirk Shepard does when they give Dr. Chakwas the brandy in ME2 being replaced with a blank look) but overall it was a fun revisit. Glad I got to play the DLC I never bought before too.

Yes. Because that's censorship and the original game had that and many other things that EA took out for no fucking reason. So yes, I will not buy MA:LEGO because EA thought that having any type of female with a curvaceous body is a bad thing. Yet we still have scenes with Shepard+Bros fucking basically naked and that's not a problem.

I love Mass Effect, it is my favorite Sci-Fi series on last generation. EA has decided that they need to be the moral police so they can eat a bag of dicks and I don't pay them shit.

Is there ANY way to play this game in offline mode? I spent 50 bucks on it and fucking EA requires it be linked to an origin account? How precisely am I to do that in the middle of bum fuck nowhere where the only internet is by satellite that I am not paying 200 bucks a month for?

The legendary Edition has removed scenes and imagery from the original game when combined into the new legendary edition. This is called censorship as none of the scenes were game breaking, alters the story, or causes crashes.


You are talking about the legendary edition here, I've never mentioned I want the original game in their original state with their original gameplay.

that was to be expected, after their own steam with blackjack and hookers didn't pan out they're no doing an uplay ubisoft connect.

it is mentioned on the store page tho, so no excuse.

Didn't that turn out to be just one shot from Mass Effect 2 and two from Mass Effect 3 that were actually changed, though? Or is there some other censorship going on that hasn't been reported as widely?
 
So they kept the origional ending but got rid of mirandas ass? weird. I wonder how much of the budget they wasted on celebrities and wedging in a test run for loot crate scams instead of the actual game?
 
I've never really seen the point in "remastered" versions of old games tbh. It's almost always just the exact same game with such a slight graphical improvement, you'd have a hard time telling the original apart from the "remastered" version.

Either that or they don't understand or couldn't port lighting and the whole thing looks fucky, defeating the purpose of a "remaster"
