Huh, well look at that.

Would you look at that, they actually look like people now

Did they fix all the faces or just "my face is tired" girl?

Wait people still believe that? The game's been out for weeks now lmao

And you still can't make a custom whitey. You can make a hispanic/italian style guy though. Kind of half white, or a whitish asian if you want to go banzai. But yeah, at the very best you can do a guido or Trump orange. But unless you like Snookie tan, you are out of luck.

From what I can tell all humans and asari got touch-ups. I added a picture of Sara to my last post and you can see the difference. Here's a couple more comparisons:

The new quality of the eyes kinda clashes with the shitty hair textures though, case in point with Suvi.

Regardless of how awkward and unnecessary it was, it was a 2 minute conversation. 2 MINUTES. OUT OF HOURS OF LONG, DRAWN-OUT GAMEPLAY. No. 1 priority. 10/10 GotY.

I like how most of the negative feedback about this has seemingly been coming from self-proclaimed trans people, and their complaint is that "OMG A REAL TRANS PERSON WOULD NEVER TELL YOU THEY'RE TRANS! AT LEAST NOT IMMEDIATELY!" Then, when you check out their profiles, that's just about all you learn about the person because it's all they ever talk about. :c Ever.

Edit: I'm curious if people are going to be equally or more angry about the changes they make to the character.

lol the only shade of white you can't make for custom Ryder is "never seen sunlight". I don't know who started the "you can't make white people" rumor but damn is it hilariously retarded.
The default Ryder is white ffs.

Why would they deliberately leave it out of custom while making the default protagonist white? That wouldn't make sense if it really is sjw motivated.
Explanation 1:
This is probably Manveer's doing given how much he hates white people, so he probably snuck that in the form of the limited skin color slider, and with the marketing focusing on two white characters, he had nothing to worry about (EA probably didn't give a shit, so long as the game sold well, while the rest of Bioware probably was like WOW HOW PROGRESSIVE and went along with him)
You have to remember the CC wasn't shown until much MUCH later, close to the game's release.

Explanation 2 (the official one by Bioware)
They had issues implementing the skin color slider. AKA, they were so fucking incompetent that they couldn't get something right that they had done IN THREE PREVIOUS ME GAMES. Frostbite or not, I still wonder how do you fuck this one up (then again, with all the incompetence shown, this could very well be the reason)

Explanation 3

I haven't played the game since launch (using a character I made via the 10 hour early access build before any patching), so they may have changed it by now (in fact, I think they have). Initially, you couldn't make a custom character as pale as the default Ryder. At best, you could just get a bad spray-tan look. No idea if it was a bug or not, but I have noticed since then that there have been some paler Ryders appearing on: https://masseffectarchives.com/

Honestly, though, I'm more disappointed that you couldn't have your custom male Ryder have the same beard stubble as the default one. :heart-empty:

So it's explanation 2. And possibly 3. There are still skin color options that fall under caucasian.

At long last they fixed the shitty facial animations, shading, and put in actual body language in the conversation scenes in the new patch, now the game actually looks like a Mass Effect game. This is how ME:A should have been in the first place. If the game was like this in the very fucking beginning, we wouldn't be having this conversation. How the fuck did employees at Bioware thought that it was a good idea to just sell a load of ugly, glitchy, buggy piece of shit without much patching in retail without considering all the consequences of it?

Much better. Still that woman talks like an autist with that word salad.

At this point are these changes even going to accomplish anything? I imagine that anyone who actually wanted the game already has it by now, and it's not like the game's reviews are going to bring in any more buyers at this point.
