Someone on /v/ posted the job applications for both Bioware and CD Projekt Red and I think I know why MEA bombed.

And some people wonder why everyone's looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR is the developer western devs should aspire to be like.

Actually I could see her doing this.

That girl even kind of looks like Fem Ryder.

How in the hell does the story for ME: A mesh with the idea that these ships were launched during ME2 & 3?

It doesn't. I saw someone say that in the Mass Effect codex it states the Milky Way was only like 1% discovered/charted by the time of the original trilogy. So instead of rebuilding after the Reaper invasion and exploring new systems and planets that can sustain life or be used as new homes to replace the damage the Reapers did, the Council races decide to fuck off to an entirely different galaxy?

Not to mention that "home" ship or space station they call the "Nexus" looks an awful lot like the Citadel - which is a space station that only the Reapers were able to successfully build. So now in Andromeda you're saying the council races can do that? What next, have them build their own Mass Relays; another thing that only the Reapers were advanced enough to accomplish?

Galaxy sized plot holes, yo.

Not to mention the AI ban in council space and the Quarians having enough resources to build their own ship.

On EA's distribution platform, do they allow user-submitted tags like on Steam? I imagine it will be pretty accurate and funny to tag this title with "Autism Simulator 2017" and that kind of thing if it is at all possible

I had assumed when the races thought they might be facing extermination during the events of 2 through 3 maybe this was an idea they came up with, a survival contingency plan of you will, that wasn't the case?

That would make more sense with a ragtag team of ships, not a mini citadel 2.0, since the military would be clamouring for those assets at the top of their lung? Lungs? Not sure if they all have two of those.

Remember that the Reapers were coming from the edge of the galaxy and quite capable of catching Shep's stealthy Normandy. A 15km non stealth ship would have a high chance of it being found and blow up, thus I could easily see the military going "Nope, bad idea."

It would work with a much smaller, scrapped together civilian initiative that just got lucky and did manage to avoid the Reapers.

Let's be real, picking apart the reasons why the Andromeda project makes no sense in universe is kind of :autism: and pointless when the entirety of the thought process the EA execs who mandated this new game be made was:

"Ok we need a new Mass Effect title already, let's give it to the multiplayer guys. Just make sure the aliens people care about are still in it, do not under any circumstances try to address the ending of the last game, and I keep hearing about "shippers" being a market with good optics, make sure to draw that crowd back in".

The first soarce is the Sun Newspaper which is arguably the worst paper in the UK to point it effectively alienated an entire city and it borders on lolcow status, the 2nd is a blog post as pretty much all fucking gaming media is. Neither really have anything concrete outside of what we've been through
The problem is either perspective is speculation unless Bioware confirm it or is their is a leak. So we're at a impasse.

Oh, yes, Kelvin MacKenzie, who famously blamed the victims of the Hillsborough stadium disaster, while the paper falsely claimed the fans had been urinating on police and looting corpses during the disaster, among other atrocious behavior. I'm pretty sure to this day, if you try to sell The Sun in Liverpool, they'll torch your newspaper stand.

Wait.

I recall hearing about the proposed ME game followup to ME3. It would be called Andromeda and have a female krogan.

There ALSO was something about Shepard surviving the end of ME3 and flying around in a Reaper for some reason.

And MEA has you choose the gender of Shepard even though you don't play as them...
