I love how Marveltards (the studio not the fanboys) have no script, overpay their actors (no actor deserves that much money!) and have expensive reshoots all of which makes the movie so extremly expensive that it's impossible to make that much money back at the box office.

If they would have been smart the movie would have costed 100 million dollars less or even more.

Which leads me to the conclusion that this deliberate. The question is why? Money laundering? What would they gain from losing money?

Or...and perhaps even worse; they are just that dumb and overconfident. There is no thought behind it they are just wasting money left and right because they can and expect to have a giant box office success.

There's been another supposed plot leak of Doomsday.

Hard to tell if this is too retarded or not retarded enough for current MCU, especially that beginning.

I think it's a mix
it started as money laundering while making capeshit, then they lost track of the money laundering and the dummies really thought it was about making the movie, so they made making The Message the movie, so then they kept having to reshoots and pissed out even the laundering money, but now they can't just go "wait you speds are ruining the hustle"

as long as the deaths don't show blood I believe it
and ngl if RDJ can really shit out a decent DOOM then I won't be too mad even if it's post-production

First of all, yes it's money laundering, partly, but secondly, as I have said before, their paycheck is not coming from the box office, they are literally propaganda, they are being paid behind the scenes to push DEI and similar horseshit. Their job is not to make things you like, their job is to make you like things.

When you rewatch the amazing moments of phase 1-3 you realize what blue haired women have taken from us.
Blue haired women are the henchmen, not the villains. Everything that has happened since 2012 is downstream from Occupy Wall Street which is just the story of the Tower of Babel; the working class came together to oppose the financial elite and the financial elite responded by using their control of media, government, educational institutions, etc to push narratives that divide the working class against itself. As long as you are vilifying your neighbor, the ruling class is winning.

I will stop shitting up the thread with schizo posts when they cease to be warranted.

But people reject this trash and this isn't going to change so what's the point in doing it over and over again? Marvel movies have been flopping for years now. If influencing people was the goal then the propaganda would have become more subtle and they would have tried different tactics. But nope, the same badly written trash is shat into movie theater and it's one bomb after another.

That... actually looks decent, though potentially overstuffed. Given the changes Peter is going through in the movie, I wonder if they're doing the Six-Armed Saga or the spider-totem shit.

Either that or they are doing "The Other" crossover event. The fact that they are including The Punisher in the film makes me wonder if they are doing what the 90s animated series did with Parker turning into Man Spider and The Punisher having to hunt him down.

Overall, it just looks really bland. I always wanted to see Scorpion as a movie villain but I have a feeling they are going to drop the ball here. At least they gave him a better looking tale from what they originally proposed in the concept art.

The Punisher is supposed to be getting a special, to be released sometime around the Spider-Man movie. The upcoming season two of Daredevil: Born Again might have some of the lesser villains in it (Boomerang, Tarantula) as part of the big war against Kingpin, with even Spider-Man rumored to show up in it. Beyond that, I think the only confirmed TV series to be coming is Vision Quest.

Everything MCU related for the past few years has been a flop. They outright cancelled Blade and that Armor Wars (tv series? film? who knows) has been in development hell for five years. I doubt we'll be seeing many new announced projects until the dust settles with Secret Wars.

Late, but saw Thunderbolts. It was overall enjoyable but felt like it was missing very important stuff. The movie decided we had a dysfunctional but close knit group of jerks who have each other's backs without ever showing us that until they all were doing the dramatic stuff to show how much they care about the new guy.

They're all in proximity of each other because they need to be, the only time it felt like no wait I actually do care about your well being and am willing to be near you without being forced was when Ghost went and got the truck instead of running off. John especially felt like he was missing something all his interactions with Bob up until nooooo Bob you're loved were antagonistic he was never even civil. It should've just been Bob and Yelena, they seemed like they cared about each other. And then we wouldn't have all the not funny Red Guardian stuff.

It's about mEnTaL hEaLtH though so that's all I see brought up online of course.

I feel like the movie should have been a conclusion to a miniseries. 8 parts with them all hating working together until it actually mattered.

The new spidey looks decent.

Methinks punisher and the scorpion are in it in the beginning and the whole movie is with the other big bad while Peter is going through changes. He collapses mid fight with the punisher and the scorpion and wakes up in a web and that's when the movie starts.

Man... I'm disappointed how little I care about this. I love Spider-Man, I love Jon Bernthal Punisher, I love Charlie Cox Daredevil, I love Michael Mando in anything. But seeing all of it together, I'm still not excited, because I still expect them to find a way to fuck it up.

Case in point, I'm not sure anybody in the entire world liked OMD/BND so they kind of painted themselves into a corner already, and trying to save it by throwing good characters/actors at it won't fix the story and only runs the risk of overcrowding the movie at best and spoiling the characters at worst. Also, my own subjective autistic irrational dislike of organic web shooters aside, they already firmly established the rules of the character and his abilities, why fuck with the formula now? It's like they're doing anything they can to inject excitement into a bad storyline but at the end of the day nothing is going to make me want to watch Peter Parker get cucked. It's like they're promising a kid a toy if they're good at the dentist, like "Look let's just get through the storyline everybody universally hates and I'll let you have Punisher and Daredevil." Except it might be Punisher and Daredevil or it might be Great Value Punisher and Dollar Store Daredevil. Then again, nobody in the entire world liked Civil War and they managed to make that a fun enough movie, a hundred years ago. Who knows.

The other possibility is they're teeing up live action Spider-Verse because why wouldn't they: they've been hyping up the multiverse for five years with no plan or payoff and their only hits the entire time have been No Way Home and DP3, Spider-Verse (the franchise) is far and away the most successful use of the IP in recent memory outside of I guess the Playstation games, and they're squeezing out Spider Noir this summer as well. Getting Ned and MJ (and May) out of the picture makes room for Miles and Spider-Gwen and . The only problem there is I'm the only person alive who doesn't care about Spider-Verse (the franchise), I don't like Spider-Gwen or Gwenpool or any of the Gwen shit and I lost interest in Miles in like... well, since they killed the Ultimate imprint. On the other hand, if they just let that be its own thing and left it alone and instead leaned more into the source material there's a lot of potential there. But far be it from Disney and Sony to leave a successful franchise alone.

I feel like this is going to suffer from the same problems that have plagued all of Sony's other projects in the sense that it's going to be a vehicle to attempt to advertise other media moreso than a compelling story in itself and just generally try to do too much, and the best we're going to get is more of No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine, which is to say, "Look what we could have done with these characters if we had pulled our head out of our (or someone else's) ass ten years ago."

I'll probably watch it anyway because I'm a fucking retard but I don't really have high hopes. Happy to be proven wrong though.
