If Adamantium can't break and it's non-reactive, it won't lose particles that could drift off into more sensitive parts of the giant system our bodies make up. This is a retcon, given that there's a fair few adamantium-bonded characters without healing factors (Cyber, Bullseye, Lady Deathstrike.) So it's not clear how they're going to implement it.
