The only thing I care about is the Thunderbolts and its mainly because of precious best girl Yelena. But apparently they had to redo the script (again) because they had "too much time given" to the BW characters....even though they're the most defined characters next to Bucky. So......yeah they have no idea what they are doing at this point.

Now they're saying Fraiser's Beast appears to Monica at the end of The Marvel's

Am I the only one who just wants a Marvel movie about friggin' Sasquatch?

People are actually watching Loki? I haven't heard even a peep from that show, unlike when season 1 aired
That's because there's nothing to say about the show. I'm watching it with family and its probably the worst the MCU has ever been, it astronomically fails on so many ways its hard to put into words, because there's only so many different ways you can say "The writing is bad" before people get sick of hearing it, but that's basically it. The writing is bad.

It feels like the show was writen by AI, but not the modern bland predictable generic AI, its old school, RNG incomperhensible clusterfuck AI relying on brute forcing coherent sentences that forgot what it said 3 words ago. It has an extreme reliance on mcguffins and half the plotpoints basically rely on "its science idk, dont think too hard about it a wizard did it."

Meanwhile the show is called Loki but loki isn't the main character, he's not even a secondary character, he's not even a side character. He's a trophy character behind a display glass with less lines and screentime than the janitor that the show keeps around so they can use his name to milk views, because nobody in their right mind would watch "The TVA Show".

So, over on Zucc's Hell Site, I've been seeing a lot of posts once again trying to prop up Majors as the best thing to ever happen to the MCU. I'm not sure if this is just people being retarded, or fan pages trying to astroturf, but considering that last I checked he's still waiting on his court date it feels weird. It's probably due to him apparently showing up in Loki Season 2, fuck if I'm watching it though. It just feels incredibly blatant.

Though it IS funny watching these "Believe All Women" types trying to dance around the issue because they must Consooom the MCU.

He's a good actor, but not "ignore what's happening IRL" levels of good.

  1. We are in the final countdown to try to breathe life in Marvel before it dies same as Star Wars because of Appathy.
  2. anything higher is better but, won't reach the billion needed breakeven betting on 100 to 200mil global.
  3. betting on 50/50 that evidence is valid enough but, kang nigger though Meetoo can't take nigger scalp.

That Variety article is hilarious

https://variety.com/2023/film/featu...problem-the-marvels-reshoots-kang-1235774940/

“Marvel is truly fucked with the whole Kang angle,” says one top dealmaker who has seen the final “Loki” episode. “And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him.”

Directed by Nia DaCosta, “The Marvels” unites Larson’s heroine with two superpowered allies, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau (introduced in the 2021 Disney+ series “WandaVision”) and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan (first seen in the 2022 series “Ms. Marvel”). But instead of seamlessly building on the success of “Captain Marvel,” this move resulted in four weeks of reshoots to bring coherence to a tangled storyline.

Then eyebrows were raised again when DaCosta began working on another film while “The Marvels” was still in postproduction — the filmmaker moved to London earlier this year to begin prepping for her Tessa Thompson drama “Hedda.” (A representative for DaCosta declined to comment.)

“If you’re directing a $250 million movie, it’s kind of weird for the director to leave with a few months to go,” says a source familiar with the production.

No amount of reshoots will make "The Marvels" appealing. The first Captain Marvel film only made it because it was positioned as a prequel to big final Avengers movie. This new one stars America's Nagging Ex-Wife Brie Larson with two random chicks from central casting that no one ever heard of and it's expecting the audience to be all caught up on its Disney+ homework. Such an absolute disaster at every level that you start to wonder if Feige really just got lucky for a decade. Also, couldn't help but note that bit of passive aggressive "shade throwing" at the end of that quote.

The schedule swap with “The Marvels” had left the “Ant-Man” sequel in a squeeze, pushing up its postproduction schedule by four-and-a-half months. Marvel films are known for coming down to the wire, given Feige’s ability “to foam the runway and land a plane that way,” says one executive familiar with how the company operates. But this level of unfinished was unprecedented and would be noted in scathing reviews when the tentpole with the $200 million budget opened 11 days after the premiere. Critics weren’t the only ones dismayed. Fed up with 14-hour days and no overtime, Marvel VFX workers voted unanimously to unionize in September, sparking an industrywide trend.

Now these were some signs of pure arrogance. Marvel's brain trust absolutely believed that the Marvel brand was so powerful that they could shovel half-finished special effects out the door and the audience would still consoom it without question. The VFX slave mine saga has already been gone over quite a bit, but the hypocrisy of it all is the icing on the cake. Producers, writers, and directors of Phase Whatever Marvel products doing endless "progressive" SJW moralizing in the writer's room and during production, meanwhile giving the CGI people impossible schedules with no days off and stiffing them on their pay.

Disney’s top brass, including newly returned CEO Bob Iger, was said to be apoplectic about Marvel’s VFX troubles. One month after the “Quantumania” premiere debacle, the guillotine fell on Victoria Alonso, who oversaw the studio’s physical production, postproduction, VFX and animation. While the reason cited for her abrupt firing was her unauthorized role as an executive producer on the Oscar-nominated film “Argentina, 1985,” insiders say Disney was incensed that quality control on its Marvel productions was plummeting, particularly on the ever-expanding TV front. The VFX logjam had been evident for some time, with some final effects for such Disney+ series as “WandaVision” and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” inserted after their streaming debuts. That Alonso was busy promoting her art-house project while Rome burned certainly didn’t sit well with Disney’s leadership. (Alonso’s attorney says her client is unable to comment.)

Every exec that starts taking falls when the whole increasingly shaky House of MCU starts crashing down deserves what comes to them.

All the while, Marvel was bleeding money, with a single episode of “She-Hulk” costing some $25 million, dwarfing the budget of a final-season episode of HBO’s “Game of Thrones, ” but without a similar Zeitgeist bang.

I really don't get it, I keep seeing this type of thing from Disney but I don't know the explanation for these cheap looking shows that end up costing so, so much per episode.

There are signs that the flood of product is leading people to tune out. “I’m not prepared to call it a permanent fall. But based on the numbers that go with Marvel podcasts, Marvel-based articles, friends who do Marvel-based video coverage, all of these numbers are significantly down,” says Joanna Robinson, co-author of the New York Times bestseller “MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios,” who is a writer and podcaster at The Ringer. “The quality is suffering. In 2019, at the peak, if you put ‘Marvel Studios’ in front of something, people were like, ‘Oh, that brand means quality.’ That association is no longer the case because there have been so many projects that felt half-baked and undercooked.”

As public criticism mounts, Feige is pulling the plug on scripts and projects that aren’t working. Case in point: the “Blade” reboot. With Mahershala Ali signed on for the eponymous role of a vampire, things looked promising for a 2023 release date. But the project has gone through at least five writers, two directors and one shutdown six weeks before production. One person familiar with the script permutations says the story at one point morphed into a narrative led by women and filled with life lessons. Blade was relegated to the fourth lead, a bizarre idea considering that the studio had two-time Oscar winner Ali on board.

Certainly, the craziest part of the article I read, how do you get handed a Blade script where he's shoved into the background and it's all about a bunch of #girlbosses learning about life and not immediately fire everyone below you on the totem pole responsible for it and hiring the catladies who created it? How do you mess up a Blade movie like this?

With Iger publicly acknowledging the downside of a Marvel TV glut that “diluted focus and attention,” the keepers of the comic book empire are considering some dramatic moves. Sources say there have been talks to bring back the original gang for an “Avengers” movie. This would include reviving Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, both of whom were killed off in “Endgame.” (That shouldn’t be a stumbling block — in comic books, beloved characters are often killed off, only to be resurrected thanks to the power of things like the multiverse.) But the studio hasn’t yet committed to the idea — if it were able to bring those actors back, it wouldn’t come cheap. Sources say Downey Jr.’s upfront salary for “Iron Man 3” was around $25 million.

RDJ could be poised to get one of the biggest paydays in Hollywood history if they bring him back as a Hail Mary to keep the MCU viable. It's almost guaranteed to happen as they already blew their wad once when they stunt casted Tobey Maguire to come back as Spider-man to bring people back to theaters post-COVID. Paying Downey and/or maybe Johansson or one of the others to come back is the only Break Glass In Case of Emergency move they have left.

Replacing Kang with Doctor Doom will presents more problems. One of them being that the character is known for wearing a full face mask and showing his real face at any point could ruin his mystique. Not that this will matter to Feige since most of the MCU characters who wear a mask or helmet of some kind takes it off frequently so the actor's face can be onscreen. Also, the casting for Doom will be a challenge since anyone who you think would be perfect for the role is either too old or deceased.

Bringing in Dr. Doom won't do shit if it's the same people behind the wheel. Kevin Feige is the guy who greenlit Reed Richards, who the average normie knows nothing about and is just being introduced to, getting turned into spaghetti. This is the guy who looked at Blade, a street level half-vampire who hunts his own kind, and thought it'd be a good idea to make the movie about 4 girls talking about their fee fees. Does this sound like the type of guy who knows how to write good narratives people want to watch?

As the USS Marvel continues to sink with every passing bomb, it's becoming clear that the people who were "holding Kevin back" were really the ones who were tard-wrangling him to stop from shitting the bed.

Have to check the per minute rate against Sheev for MouseWars

Seb Gorka, big enough to rock the suit, deep enough voice to be DOOM

This is actually to their benefit.

Pay whoever the fuck played Taskmaster when the Mask was on, and just use an AI to voice the character. Never. Remove. The. Mask.

That way, you don't have to deal with some nigger who beats women or some faggot that fucks children fucking up all your plans while also staying (somewhat) true to the fucking character.

This article seems to get most of the critiques of Marvel for the past few years, but what gets me is the 3rd to last paragraph:
The key to reinvigorating Marvel may lie with the superhero arsenal that Disney acquired during its 2019 purchase of 21st Century Fox. That deal brought several blue-chip heroes, such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, back under the studio’s control. Already fans are geeking out about next year’s “Deadpool 3,” which unites Ryan Reynolds’ merc with a mouth with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and a reboot of “Fantastic Four” slated for 2025. As a bonus, the Fox additions give Feige an opportunity to reimagine the “X-Men” franchise, the very property he cut his teeth on as a young executive at Lauren Shuler Donner’s production company. Now that the WGA strike is in the rearview mirror, Marvel has started talking to writers about bringing the X-Men into the MCU fold.
Now you're finally planning to do something with the X-men?
The entire reason the suits spent almost 2 full years going back and forth with each other to basically buyout Fox for $71 BILLION
Why the fuck did no one immediately scrap whatever gay plans feige was thinking up to get the X-Men into the MCU as quickly as possible when the deal went through, because I guess ignoring a pretty big staple of Marvel from the 80s onward was a priority.

I think there was a period after the buyout where they legally couldn't do any work regarding the X-Men and F4 and such, so they couldn't pivot immediately.

Similarly, when the Netflix deal ended, there was also a period before they could start working on any of those characters, which is why the didn't start introducing anything from them until Hawkeye.

Make Dr. Doom the next big bad, the mask stays on until the big reveal: It's Robert Downey Jr with a brain bug or some shit, but then they cure him and he's back as Iron Man. Simple as.

Or you could just make Dr Doom some ethnically vague 16 year old girl who kicks everyone's asses, and says "You know girls can be doctors too!" as she takes off her mask. Also she's totally just misunderstood, and is actually a good guy.

Shit, they should pay me for these ideas.

They already did that with Taskmaster in the Black Widow movie which sucked absolute ass.

If they should do Dr Doom, they should tease it with a doombot. The Avengers or other team just barely beats the Doom bot, then cuts to Doom laughing. They can make him an actual threat.
